Parul University to Inaugurate New High-Tech Campus in Goa on September 18


Parul University is set to mark a major milestone in Goaโ€™s higher education landscape with the inauguration of its new campus near ONGC Betul in Quepem on September 18. The campus represents a significant step in making quality, industry-relevant education more accessible to Goan students, offering a broad range of modern and technical courses including physiotherapy, health sciences, pharmacy, and more.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant will officially inaugurate the campus, while Health Minister Vishwajit Rane will preside over the student oath-taking ceremony. The inauguration event is scheduled to be held at 10 am at the Kala Academy auditorium in Panaji, in the presence of dignitaries, university officials, faculty, and students.

Parul University has emphasized that the Goa campus is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and aims to create a strong academic ecosystem rooted in innovation and industry engagement. The universityโ€™s expansion into Goa is part of a broader commitment to bridging the educational gap and ensuring that students do not need to leave the state to access world-class learning opportunities.

CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Engages with NSE to Boost Financial Literacy for Goan Youth


Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant recently visited the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in a significant step toward promoting financial literacy and market awareness among the youth of Goa. During his visit, he engaged in in-depth discussions on initiatives focused on educating students and young professionals about stock markets, investment practices, and economic opportunities.

The visit also included a review of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier between NSE and the Directorate of Higher Education, which aims to bridge the knowledge gap by introducing structured financial education in academic institutions across Goa.

Dr. Sawant emphasized that financial literacy is an essential life skill in today’s fast-evolving economic landscape. He reiterated that such collaborative initiatives will empower the next generation with practical insights into financial management, strategic investments, and understanding economic trends. The goal is to prepare students to make informed financial decisions and actively participate in the nation’s economic growth.

ย All-Goa Leadership Training Camp Empowers HSS & College Students with Skills for the Future

The All-Goa Leadership Training Camp, held on 12th and 13th September 2025, proved to be a powerful platform for student growth and development. Organized in memory of the late M.R. Pai, the initiative was jointly arranged by the M.R. Pai Foundation, Mumbai and the Forum of Free Enterprise, Mumbai, with strong guidance from the Dempo Charities Trust.

The camp brought together 54 students from 8 Higher Secondary Schools across Goa, who engaged in an immersive two-day journey of learning and discovery.

The sessions were conducted by eminent faculty members Mr. Vivek Patki and Mr. Gaurav Malhotra, whose activity-based training modules focused on personal growth, leadership skills, and communication effectiveness. Students participated in exercises that tested teamwork, strengthened decision-making, and fostered self-belief.

The event was seamlessly coordinated by Asst. Prof. Pallavi Kalangutkar and Asst. Prof. Vibha Pai Angle, along with student volunteers who ensured smooth execution. Academic support came from Prof. (Dr.) Deepali Churi, whose encouragement guided the campโ€™s objectives.

Feedback from participants highlighted the positive impact of the sessions, with many noting a boost in confidence, clarity in setting personal and academic goals, and appreciation for hands-on, interactive learning methods.

The camp succeeded not only in imparting practical leadership skills but also in instilling a sense of responsibility and vision among young students. By empowering youth with the tools for growth and resilience, the All-Goa Leadership Training Camp continues to carry forward the legacy of M.R. Pai in building informed, capable leaders for tomorrow.

Goa Honours Outstanding Educators with CM-Vashishtha Guru Puraskar on Teachersโ€™ Day 2024 – 25


On the occasion of Teachersโ€™ Day 2024, the Government of Goa paid tribute to educators across the state by conferring the CM-Vashishtha Guru Puraskar 2024-25 upon 10 outstanding teachers and school leaders. This annual honour, presented by the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, recognizes exemplary service in the field of education across various levels.

The awards were presented across multiple categories. In the Primary Teacher category, Ms. Chhaya Vaijanath Bokade from North Goa and Shri Kamalakar Vishwas Desai from South Goa were recognized. In the Secondary Teacher category, the honours went to Ms. Manjiri Dattaprasad Jog and Shri Rajmohan Ramnath Shetye from North Goa, as well as Shri Kalidas K. Satardekar and Ms. Mamata Tatoba Patil from South Goa.

Shri Gurudas S. Palkar from North Goa and Ms. Aurora Dโ€™Souza from South Goa received the award in the High School Headmaster category. In the Higher Secondary Teacher category, Shri Sunil Jagannath Shet was recognised for his pan-Goa contribution, and in the Higher Secondary Principal category, Ms. Cintia Maria Borges e Abranches was felicitated for her academic leadership and service.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to all educators in Goa for inspiring generations of students, nurturing values, and contributing to the state’s educational and social development. He emphasized that teachers remain the true torchbearers of knowledge and appealed to students to carry forward the wisdom and principles imparted by their mentors.

JCI Pondaโ€™s Junior Wing Conducts JCSAT Exam 2025 to Foster Academic Excellence


Ponda, Goa: In a resounding initiative to promote academic excellence and intellectual growth among school students, the Junior Jaycee Wing of JCI Ponda successfully conducted the JCSAT Exam 2025 on August 23, 2025.

Hosted across two vibrant centers โ€” Mahatma Gandhi Centenary School, Gaunem-Bandora, and Shiksha Sadan High School, Priol โ€” the examination drew 130 enthusiastic participants from 6th to 10th standard, all eager to challenge their knowledge and embrace the spirit of competition.

The JCSAT (Jaycee Competitive Scholastic Aptitude Test) is designed to test general awareness, problem-solving, and academic reasoning, and is a signature initiative by the Junior Jaycee wing under JCI’s youth development programs.
