Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Vice-President CA Mangesh Kinare visited Goa on February 26, where he engaged with members of the profession during a series of events hosted by the Goa Branch (WIRC) of ICAI.
The visit coincided with a seminar on “Direct Taxes – Assessments, Reassessments & Taxation Aspects of Related Party Transactions (with reference to the New Income Tax Act, 2025),” which saw active participation from Chartered Accountants across the state. The seminar provided a platform for in-depth discussions on emerging taxation frameworks, regulatory updates, and practical challenges faced by professionals.
A key highlight of the visit was the Interactive Members’ Meet, where Kinare held a constructive dialogue with participants. The session focused on professional developments, policy changes, and the expanding role of Chartered Accountants in ensuring transparency, governance, and economic growth in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
Chairman of the ICAI Goa Branch (WIRC), CA Vinayak V. Dhumatkar, described the occasion as a proud moment for the branch, especially as it marked the Vice-President’s visit early in his tenure. He also acknowledged Kinare’s continued engagement with the Goa CA fraternity and his support towards strengthening the professional community.
The visit concluded on a positive and forward-looking note, reinforcing a shared commitment among members towards excellence, continuous learning, and adapting to the dynamic demands of the profession.
