Empowering Horizons: JCI Ponda’s AI Training Session at Shiksha Sadan High School, Priol


JCI Ponda, in collaboration with Shiksha Sadan High School, Priol, successfully organized a dynamic hands-on training session titled “Using AI Tools in Daily Life” as part of Day 2 of JCI Week – PRISM 110. The training was led by Mr. Amey Kerkar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Goa.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the school’s teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as community members from the Priol area. Attendees engaged in practical demonstrations and discussions around how AI-powered tools can streamline daily tasks, improve productivity, and enhance decision-making in both professional and personal spaces.

This initiative is part of Empower Horizons – Training Day, one of the flagship themes of JCI Week 2025, aimed at fostering skills development and digital readiness in communities. The event not only offered new learning avenues for educators and support staff but also served as a bridge between technology and grassroots education.

Empower Horizons: Don Bosco College of Engineering Hosts Backend Tech Workshop for Aspiring Entrepreneurs


Don Bosco College of Engineering, in association with its Entrepreneurship Cell, celebrated JCI Week PRISM 110 with an empowering workshop titled “Empower Horizons – Training Day”, dedicated to students with entrepreneurial aspirations. The highlight of the session was the hands-on backend tech training conducted by Mr. Vadiraj Inamdar, a Don Bosco alumnus from the 2020–2024 batch, now working as a Software Developer at Hotelhub Technology Pvt. Ltd., and currently serving as the President of JCI Ponda.

The workshop delivered a practical, industry-relevant introduction to essential backend technologies, covering Database Management, PHP Scripting, and RESTful APIs. Mr. Inamdar’s approach combined technical theory with real-world scenarios, giving students exposure beyond the academic curriculum. His journey from college student to industry professional and youth leader served as both a technical and motivational roadmap for participants.

The event was a collaborative success, bridging education and industry in an engaging and meaningful format. It inspired attendees to build technical fluency while considering their role as future innovators and tech entrepreneurs.
