A Walk By the Patto Pedestrian Bridge

Hello Allys,

Hope February is treating you well! This Friday, I bring before you a place that you must have visited several times but I doubt took time off to notice the beauty that this place holds.

Just as randomly as anyone visiting this place from dawn to dusk – this place is the most visited pathway as it connects the Central Library, Panjim Bus Stand to the Panjim City. This bridge is built on the Rua dear Ourem Creek, one of the oldest creeks that runs down from Altinho Hill.

This Bridge is considered one of thetmost busiest avenues right from the sunrise to the sunset. As it is so rightly said that, if one wants to explore Panjim must either walk or go cyclingย  to experience this beautiful place.

This is one of the pictures that I clicked just after the Sunset and the Sky and this beautiful composition gave me a picture perfect.ย

TIPS OF THE DAY

  • If you want to get a picture perfect make sure you visit this place during the golden hour – just before sunrise or just after the sunset. You get some really beautiful hues that allows you to get a picture perfect!
  • If you have ample time, try to be sit back in the places on the either side of the bridge and relax yourself. You will get to see several things worth observing right from people fishing to rowing boats to business class rushing to work with a sandwich or coffee in their hands.

The Key to Success lies with You

We often try to search something better than the previous one, which is not wrong at all. We try to search a better opportunity at work, family life, relationships, friendships and so on. But we always forget about the fact that until or unless we don’t understand ourselves inside – out, we may not be able to respect or love someonelse unconditionally. And so the success to a wonderful and peaceful life is with none other than You. In true sense if you want to excel and want to grow – the key is with You / Within You. The only thing you need to find out is your true potential and that itself will unlock yourself from the bondages of external problems and will help you attain a true state of peace of mind. #Beingallycaral ๐Ÿ‘’ Have a #thoughtfulthursday ๐Ÿ’

Nothing is Permanent, Change is the only Constant.

Hello Allys,

Everytime, I see a sunset it’s always enlightening. This was a photograph clicked way back during the International Film Festival of Goa when the Kala Academy Jetty was functioning. Actually this Jetty was built to for the Film Festival itself, but little did it live for that long. Today it is vanished and those who didn’t see it won’t even know that such a thing existed at Kala Academy. It indeed looked very beautiful. And As I was going through my archives this one took me back in time. And as I was reflecting on these photos I realised one thing rather understood one lesson which is about ‘Change’
Change is the only constant, a statement we often hear but hardly understand it. The fact is such that ‘change’ leads a drastic impact on one’s life while sometimesย  it acts as a gradual transformation that leads you in phrases from one situation to the other, from one circumstance to the other. Several times, we don’t comply the transformation phrase, and often loose hope. But well, the more you understand, this concept and make peace with it. The deeper you get an understanding about this phenomenon of life, in which “Nothing is permanent. Nothing is constant, besides change.” ๐Ÿ’š

Do You Know about this beautiful Panjim Spring – Boca de Vaca?

Springs are beautiful places to sit back and relax, and especially when it is in the place where you work, it helps you re surge a new vibe by simply visiting the same. Situated almost on a lower hill, Boca De Vaca is one of the two springs which exist in the Captial City – Panjim.

If one takes a closer look at this structure, one would notice that this structure has a face of a cow as a part of it’s architecture. The spring water flowing from a Granite Cow’s Head which is built during the Portuguese era. Well, that’s right from where, this spring got it’s name – Boca de Vaca which means ‘Face of the Cow’ or the ‘Cow’s Face’.

Earlier this place was used as a major source of water supply in the capital city – Panjim. But with the changing times this too was highly neglected, and this turned out to be one of the major reasons for the almost dying state of this architecture. But the only thing that has kept this place alive was the source of fresh water which is still widely known for it’s medicinal properties.ย  This structure now stands as a part of a temple which is dedicated to Sai Baba.

This massive Portuguese built structure was reworked and restored only recently by an initiative taken to beautify and restore this beautiful place by Goa Tourism and Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC). It has been assured that this place turns out to be a major tourist attraction restoring the same.ย Also additionally the place is very well maintained. And in case you walk to this place or drive to this place and want to spend some quality time, well there are benches too available here to sit back and relax watching the spring water.

A brownie point would be visiting this place in the evening. This place is well lit and the fresh flow of water re energizes your soul with the cool breeze touching you and makes it even more why you should visit this place.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Simple! Google Map for you – directions towards Boca De Vaca Spring.ย  But takeย care as Google is not well versed with which road Corporation of City of Panjim (CCP) has marked as no entry or as one way!!! Carefully check the sign boards on the way, while heading towards the Destination.
