Molbio Diagnostics Strengthens CSR Impact with New Therapy Units for Children with Disabilities in Goa

Goa, July 16: In a powerful stride toward inclusive healthcare, Molbio Diagnostics, the Goa-based global innovator behind the WHO-recognised Truenat PCR platform, has launched Occupational Therapy and Audiology Units at Aastha’s Centre of Excellence, marking a new milestone in the company’s CSR journey.

This latest initiative is designed to serve over 100 children with disabilities every year, providing professional assessments and regular therapy sessions to support the development of sensory, motor, and communication skills. The Audiology Unit will also address undiagnosed hearing impairments, one of the most overlooked developmental challenges in children.

The therapy units aim to bridge critical healthcare access gaps in Goa, especially for vulnerable families who often lack affordable therapeutic services. Molbio’s intervention is not just a donation — it’s a commitment to empowering children and families with the tools they need for a better quality of life.

The inauguration ceremony, set to take place at Aastha’s Centre in Goa, will see participation from local dignitaries, health professionals, and CSR leaders, underlining the significance of public-private partnerships in enabling long-term social change.

“At Molbio, we believe that access to quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege,” said a company spokesperson. “This initiative is about ensuring inclusivity and equity in care — especially for children who need it the most.”

As the company continues to set benchmarks in public health innovation, its CSR arm remains focused on sustainable and scalable solutions that leave a meaningful impact in the communities it serves.

Chetna School Launches Braille Library to Empower Visually Impaired Students

Curchorem, Goa – In a commendable stride toward inclusive education, Chetna School for Special Children has inaugurated a dedicated Braille library for its visually impaired students. This initiative, backed by the Directorate of Social Welfare, aims to provide equitable access to reading and educational materials for children with visual impairments.

The Braille library was formally inaugurated by Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral, who praised the school’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusion, accessibility, and dignity in learning.

The newly launched facility is equipped with a wide range of Braille books, tactile materials, and tools designed to enhance the learning experiences of visually impaired children. It not only supports the academic curriculum but also promotes recreational reading and independent exploration — key components of holistic development.

The initiative reflects a strong partnership between government departments and educational institutions striving for equal opportunities for all children, regardless of physical ability. It aligns with the state and national goals for inclusive and accessible education under the Right to Education Act and the National Education Policy (NEP).

Chetna School plans to expand the collection and introduce audio-visual aids, Braille printing facilities, and hands-on training for educators to further support students with special needs. They envision becoming a model for inclusive education in Goa and beyond.

This new Braille library is more than just a room with books — it’s a space where knowledge becomes accessible, and where every student is empowered to dream, read, and lead.
