Deltin Foundation Strengthens Digital Learning at Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye College with 30 i7 Desktops Under Project ReviveEd


Empowering education through technology, Deltin Foundation has continued its commitment to advancing digital learning through its Program Shiksha initiative. Under Project ReviveEd, the foundation donated 30 i7 desktops to Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College and Research Centre, Virnoda, Pernem, Goa, equipping students with the tools needed for a more technology-driven learning environment.

The event was graced by Shri Bhushan K. Savaikar from the Directorate of Higher Education, along with Dr. Niyan Marchon, Juao Costa, Aishwarya Jain, and Pranali Naik, who commended the Foundationโ€™s efforts in empowering youth through access to quality digital resources.

This upgrade to the collegeโ€™s Centre for Multimedia and Research Studies will enable students to gain hands-on experience in new-age fields such as digital content creation, UI/UX design, graphic design, and research. The initiative underscores the Foundationโ€™s vision of bridging the gap between academic learning and industry-relevant technological skills.

PM SHRI GHS Morpirla Wins Prestigious โ€˜Mhaji Lab, Bari Labโ€™ ICT Award


PM SHRI Government High School Morpirla has been honored with the prestigious “Mhaji Lab, Bari Lab” Best ICT Lab Award in Category A, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward educational innovation. The award was presented during the Chief Ministerโ€™s Vashistha Guru Puraskar ceremony and Teachers’ Day celebration held at Kala Academy, Panjim. It was handed over by the Honโ€™ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, in recognition of the school’s exceptional efforts in developing and maintaining a top-tier Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory.

This national-level recognition carries a cash prize of โ‚น2 lakhs, which will be utilized to further enhance the schoolโ€™s ICT infrastructure. Applications Open for Free Laptop Scheme for SC/ST Students


Altinho, July 08, 2025: To support digital learning and academic growth among students from SC/ST communities, the Government of Goa has opened online applications for its free laptop distribution scheme for meritorious Class X students.

Under the leadership of Honโ€™ble Minister for ITE&C, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, is implementing the scheme through the Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ITG). It aims to benefit deserving students from the academic year 2024โ€“2025, selecting 10 meritorious students from Scheduled Caste (SC) communities and 10 from Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities, with equal representation of boys and girls (5 each) in every Taluka.

Eligibility Criteria Applicants must:

  • Belong to the SC or ST community.
  • Be born in Goa, or have at least one parent born in Goa.
  • Have passed the Class X examination (Goa Board) in the first attempt.
  • Have scored a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in Class X.
  • Be schooling in the same Taluka where they are considered for merit.
  • Rank among the top 5 male or top 5 female SC/ST students in the Taluka

Documents Required

  • Birth certificate (of student or parent)
  • Class X marksheet (Goa Board)
  • Caste certificate (attested copy)
  • Parentโ€™s consent form (Annexure I)
  • Photo ID of student (Aadhaar card/School ID)
  • Parentโ€™s ID with signature (PAN/Passport/Driving Licence)

The initiative reflects the Departmentโ€™s continued efforts to bridge the digital divide and enable students from all backgrounds to access technology-driven learning tools.

The initiative is part of the Foundationโ€™s broader Happy School Project, aimed at transforming traditional learning environments into vibrant, child-centric spaces.

The launch event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and members of the local community. The classrooms, now equipped with state-of-the-art smart boards, freshly painted walls, ergonomic furniture, and improved lighting, mark a significant transformation in the way education is delivered at the centre.
