Catholic Families Celebrate an Evening of Joy and Togetherness in Bangalore

Bangalore, Karnataka, December 12, 2025:The Catholic Family Christmas Get-Together, held on December 7, 2025, at the vibrant campus of Aradhana Academy, blossomed into an evening filled with joy, faith, and festive warmth. Conceived through the thoughtful vision of Sr. Moly, Director of Aradhana Academy, the event brought together Catholic families from Immaculate Conception Church, Doresanipalya, for an unforgettable celebration of community, reflection, and Christmas spirit.

The gathering began with children streaming enthusiastically into Maria Hall, where a variety of engaging games and activities set a cheerful tone. Their excitement and laughter filled the space, creating a festive environment that mirrored the spirit of the season.

While the children enjoyed their activities, elders participated in an energizing interactive session that lifted their spirits and fostered a warm sense of camaraderie. This was followed by a touching moment of spiritual reflection as Principal Ms. Seema Pradeep welcomed Fr. Lijo Tholanikal, MRCS, who delivered an inspiring Christmas message. His words, filled with wisdom and warmth, encouraged families to embrace the true meaning of Christmas and cultivate joy, patience, and unity at home.

The evening then shifted into a lively phase as parents eagerly participated in a fun-filled quiz competition. The room echoed with laughter, friendly rivalry, and playful exchanges, making it one of the most enjoyable segments of the programme.

A special highlight was the Carol Singing session, guided by dedicated Choir Masters. Melodious harmonies filled the hall, wrapping families in the comforting glow of Christmas cheer.

The excitement peaked during the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of various games and competitions were honoured. A delightful surprise segment also announced the โ€œMost Uniquely Dressed Couple,โ€ adding a touch of glamour and unexpected joy to the evening.

As the programme drew to a close, Ms. Nancy delivered a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the collaborative effort that made the event a success. Families then gathered for photographsโ€”capturing warm smiles and precious memoriesโ€”before sharing Agape, a fellowship meal symbolising love, unity, and togetherness.

The Catholic Family Christmas Get-Together 2025 was not just a festive celebration; it was a meaningful experience that strengthened bonds and left families with hearts full of festive joy. Blending celebration, community, and Christmas magic, the evening will be cherished for years to come.

Rugby Emerges as a Powerful Tool for Youth Leadership and Community Bonding in Goa

Panaji: Rugby is quickly gaining momentum across Goa, evolving into a transformative force that not only builds athleticism but also strengthens community ties and nurtures young leaders. As participation rises in schools and colleges, the sport is proving to be a unique platform for discipline, character-building, and unity.

Brandon Crasto, Founder of Goa 7s and President of the Crocotryles Rugby Foundation, highlighted how deeply rugby is influencing young Goans.
โ€œThere is a lot that rugby can do in terms of growing the sport in the community itself. Through the foundation, we visit 20โ€“25 schools every season and reach more than 10,000 children annually. With international players and coaches, we showcase what rugby can unlock โ€” from club-level opportunities to representing the country,โ€ Crasto said.

He emphasised that rugby offers a valuable alternative for youth amid growing distractions.
โ€œRugby can do a lot for the future generation of Goa. The young generation is getting distracted by things like phones and vices; rugby provides an outlet to create future leaders, and develops them physically and mentally.โ€

Ryan Gaulstan, Training and Education Manager at Rugby India, underscored the importance of structured learning in advancing the sport.
โ€œTraining in education is a key vertical for Rugby India. Through this, we empower states and UTs to build their workforce of qualified coaches, medics, match officials, and strength trainers. Thatโ€™s why we are in Goa โ€” to empower the Crocotryles Foundation to strengthen rugby in their state.โ€

The international support for Goaโ€™s rugby movement continues to grow.
During a two-week training stint in Goa, Michael Blatteis, Philippines 7s International Player from Cali, USA, praised the foundationโ€™s efforts:
โ€œYou can see how these kids are raised with strong values. Introducing sports early builds natural leaders with teamwork and discipline. Whether or not they go far in rugby, they attempt something meaningful and grow as individuals.โ€

Global collaboration is also becoming a part of Goaโ€™s rugby journey.
A symbolic jersey exchange took place between Crasto and Samaka Isaacs, ex-student of Oakhill College, Australia. Murry Fisher, Sports Headmaster, sent jerseys and socks in support of the foundation.
โ€œThis exchange symbolises community bonding and spreads the La Sallian spirit โ€” solidarity, compassion, and sportsmanship,โ€ Isaacs said. โ€œHopefully, we can build a partnership and bring a team down to Goa in the future.โ€

With growing participation, structured training, and international involvement, rugby is poised to become a major force in shaping Goaโ€™s youth and uniting its communities.

Majo Amig Celebrates Friendship Day with Walk from Campal to Miramar

To honor the spirit of friendship, community, and connection, Majo Amigโ€”a citizens’ collective featuring both young adults and senior citizensโ€”organized a special Friendship Walk on the occasion of Friendship Day.

The walk commenced from the iconic Parashuram Bhumi in Campalโ€“Panaji and extended to the scenic shores of Miramar Beach, before looping back to the starting point. The route, embraced by greenery, coastal breeze, and the warmth of companionship, set the perfect stage for this intergenerational celebration.

What made this walk remarkable was its inclusive essenceโ€”young and senior citizens walking side by side, engaging in conversations, laughter, and mutual appreciation. It was a living example of the harmony and strength that comes when different generations walk together, not just physically but in values and shared purpose.

The walk wasnโ€™t just about fitnessโ€”it was about bridging age gaps, fostering emotional connection, and creating a sense of community in motion. Residents and onlookers joined in or cheered the participants, turning the walk into a local celebration of kindness and connection.

Majo Amig continues to lead by example in promoting togetherness through civic action, wellness, and joyful initiatives.
