Adani Solar Ranks 8th Among Global Top 10 Solar Module Makers

Adani Solar has emerged as a major global player, ranking eighth among the worldโ€™s top 10 crystalline silicon solar module manufacturers, according to Wood Mackenzieโ€™s December 2025 assessment. The ranking evaluated 38 global module makers based on a comprehensive scoring system covering financial health, technology strength, supply chain resilience, research and development, and ESG performance.

Adani Solar scored 81 points, placing it firmly among the worldโ€™s most competitive solar manufacturers. Operating from its state-of-the-art facility in Mundra, Gujarat, the company has shipped over 15 gigawatts of solar modules to date and generated approximately 8,000 green jobs, contributing significantly to Indiaโ€™s clean energy transition.

Looking ahead, Adani Solar plans to expand its manufacturing capacity to 10 gigawatts annually by next year, reinforcing its ambition to become a global manufacturing powerhouse.

The achievement comes at a time when Indiaโ€™s solar sector is witnessing unprecedented growth. By 2025, the countryโ€™s solar module manufacturing capacity has surged beyond 140 gigawatts, while 38 gigawatts of solar installations were added in the same year โ€” a record milestone.

Adani Solarโ€™s global recognition reflects not only the companyโ€™s progress but also Indiaโ€™s rising prominence in the global renewable energy supply chain, positioning the nation as a serious contender in solar manufacturing worldwide.

MoS Shri Shripad Naik Inaugurates IREDAโ€™s 45 kW Solar Project Powering Goaโ€™s Water Supply

On 5th October 2025, Shri Shripad Naik, Honโ€™ble Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, inaugurated a 45 kW On-Grid Solar Power System at a water pumping station in North Goa. The project has been implemented as part of IREDAโ€™s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to promote sustainable and clean energy in public infrastructure.

The solar power system is expected to generate approximately 60,000 units of electricity annually, ensuring 100% solarization of the pumping stationโ€™s load. This initiative not only enhances energy efficiency but also sets a benchmark for renewable integration into essential public utilities like water distribution.

In a message, Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of IREDA, emphasized that the project reflects the organizationโ€™s dedication to extending its clean energy vision beyond financial support into direct community impact. He noted that solarizing public services such as water pumping stations can serve as a scalable and replicable model for Indiaโ€™s broader sustainable energy transition.

The inauguration event was attended by key representatives from IREDAโ€™s CSR team, the Goa Drinking Water Department, and local authorities, underscoring a collaborative effort toward building a greener future for India. This development is yet another step in aligning with the countryโ€™s commitment to achieving its renewable energy goals and promoting energy equity across all sectors.

PM Modi Plants Kadamb Sapling Gifted by King Charles III on His 75th Birthday

Written by Intern Queeny George M.H, by Team Allycaral

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his 75th birthday with a deeply symbolic gestureโ€”planting a Kadamb sapling gifted to him by British King Charles III. The event took place at Modiโ€™s official residence on Friday and was in line with his ongoing environmental initiative, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, which encourages citizens to plant a tree as a tribute to their mother.

The British High Commission in India had earlier announced the gift on September 17, stating that it was inspired by Modiโ€™s call for environmental stewardship. According to the Commission, the gesture reflects the shared commitment of King Charles III and Prime Minister Modi to promoting sustainability and environmental conservation across global platforms.

The act also underscores the deepening partnership between the United Kingdom and India, particularly in the area of climate and clean energy. During his official visit to Britain in July, Prime Minister Modi had presented a Sonoma tree to King Charles III as part of the same initiative. The reciprocal nature of these symbolic gifts highlights a growing collaboration that transcends traditional diplomacy.

An official video released by the government showed PM Modi planting the sapling, emphasizing the strong personal and political significance of the moment. The British High Commission reaffirmed that environmental cooperation remains a key pillar of the UK-India partnership, as outlined in the “Vision 2035” roadmap jointly developed by the two Prime Ministers.

As the world faces the growing challenges of climate change, such initiativesโ€”both symbolic and practicalโ€”demonstrate the potential of global partnerships rooted in mutual respect and shared values. The Kadamb sapling now stands not just as a birthday gift, but as a living testament to a vision for a greener, more sustainable future.
