Raahul V S has etched his name in Indian chess history by becoming the nation’s 91st Grandmaster after a stellar performance at the ASEAN Individual Championship, clinching the title with a round to spare. His remarkable achievement marks another proud milestone for Bharat’s growing chess legacy.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and top dignitaries, inaugurated the FIDE World Cup Goa 2025 at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao. The international chess event will continue till November 27, 2025.
