Camp Rock 3 Officially Greenlit for Disney+ and Disney Channel with Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato Returning

Itโ€™s official โ€” Camp Rock 3 is coming to Disney+ and Disney Channel. Disney Branded Television confirmed today that the third installment of the beloved musical movie series has been greenlit, with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato set to return in both acting and executive producer roles.

Filming began this week in Vancouver for the Disney Channel Original Movie, which promises to blend nostalgia with a new generation of rising talent. Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas will reprise their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason, respectively, appearing as the members of the fictional band Connect 3. Demi Lovato also returns and joins the Jonas Brothers as executive producers on the project.

The story follows Connect 3 after they lose their opening act for a major reunion tour. The band returns to Camp Rock in search of the next big star, sparking a fierce competition among campers to earn the spotlight. Along the way, friendships are tested, new alliances form, and musical rivalries flare up.

Joining the cast are Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, newcomer Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, and Ava Jean as Madison. Sherry Cola joins the franchise as Lark, while Maria Canals-Barrera reprises her role as Connie.

Directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, the film is choreographed by Jamal Sims and produced by Disney Branded Television. Executive producers include Tim Federle, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Demi Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh.

According to Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis, the return of Camp Rock is not only a celebration of its legacy but also an opportunity to introduce its music, characters, and themes to a new generation. The first two Camp Rock movies remain among the top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time, with chart-topping soundtracks that helped launch the careers of its original stars.

With Camp Rock 3, Disney aims to recapture that cultural magic โ€” this time with a mix of legacy talent and fresh faces โ€” reminding fans old and new that the spirit of Camp Rock is very much alive.

Demi Lovato Returns to Pop With High-Energy New Single โ€œFastโ€

August 1, 2025 โ€” Demi Lovato has officially re-entered the pop music universe with the release of her electrifying new single โ€œFast.โ€ After a three-year hiatus from the genre, the high-energy track marks a defining shift in Lovatoโ€™s evolving musical identity โ€” blending dance-pop with EDM production and emotional urgency.

โ€œI wanna go fast / I wanna go hard / I wanna go anywhere, anywhere you are,โ€ Lovato belts over a pulsing beat that feels tailor-made for club floors and festival stages. The track evokes the same adrenaline found in earlier pop staples like โ€œCool for the Summerโ€ and โ€œReally Donโ€™t Care.โ€

From Rock to Rebirth

Since 2022, Lovato had set aside pop in favor of gritty rock sounds, first with her Holy Fvck album and then the Revamped project โ€” rock renditions of her previous pop hits. She even held a symbolic “funeral” for her pop music.

But โ€œFastโ€ is confirmation that the pop door wasnโ€™t closed forever โ€” only on pause.

A New Album is Coming

According to Rolling Stone, โ€œFastโ€ is just the beginning. Lovato is working on a full-length dance-pop album, described as a celebratory, uninhibited return to joy, shaped by her relationship with husband and collaborator Jordan โ€œJutesโ€ Lutes.

The albumโ€™s producer, Zhone, says the sound is all about release:

โ€œThis album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music!โ€

Making Peace with the Past

In a full-circle moment, Lovato also revisited The Bigg Chill, the L.A. frozen yogurt shop she had publicly criticized in 2021. At the time, she slammed the calorie-count messaging as โ€œtoxic,โ€ sparking controversy. While she apologized then, her recent video post with a caption โ€œlove you bigg chillโ€ shows that amends have truly been made.

Pop Isnโ€™t Dead โ€” Itโ€™s Just Getting Faster

For fans of Demiโ€™s earlier pop reign, โ€œFastโ€ feels like both a homecoming and an upgrade โ€” fresh, fun, and fearlessly forward.
