Astronomer CEO Resigns After Viral Coldplay Concert Kiss Cam Controversy

Written by Tanisha Cardozo

In a swift and highly publicized move, Andy Byron has resigned as CEO of US-based tech company Astronomer after a video from a Coldplay concert in Boston captured him sharing a seemingly intimate moment with the company’s HR head, Kristin Cabot.

The viral clip surfaced from the concertโ€™s Kiss Cam segment, showing Byron and Cabot briefly embracing before hurriedly separating. Their visible discomfort under the camera’s spotlight, including Byron ducking and Cabot turning away, raised eyebrows. Coldplayโ€™s frontman Chris Martin even made a cheeky remark, saying the couple was either โ€œtoo shy or having an affair.โ€

The fallout was swift. Within 24 hours of being placed on leave, Byron tendered his resignation. Astronomer confirmed the news in a LinkedIn post:

โ€œOur leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.โ€

The company also clarified that Alyssa Stoddard, a rumored third party in the video, was not present at the event. They named co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy as interim CEO.

Aside from the professional ramifications, the incident has had personal consequences. Byronโ€™s wife, Megan Kerrigan, who works in school admissions, was quick to remove Byronโ€™s surname from her Facebook profile before deactivating it.

Byron, who was appointed CEO in 2023, has not issued a public statement. However, the company emphasized that the scandal hasnโ€™t affected their core operations or mission in the DataOps sector.

The situation has reignited conversations around workplace ethics, leadership image, and accountability, especially in high-profile corporate environments.

WNBA All-Stars Light Up the Orange Carpet with Style and Confidence

The WNBA All-Star Weekend kicked off in pure style as athletes made a bold statement on the orange carpet in Indianapolis. Held at the convention center, Thursday evening wasnโ€™t just a prelude to the weekendโ€™s sporting actionโ€”it was a celebration of self-expression, individuality, and empowerment through fashion.

The moment the athletes stepped out, the crowd erupted with cheers. Leading the style parade was Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum, who looked radiant in a shimmering red dress and heels, sharing that the whole experience was โ€œa lot of fun.โ€

Joining her in the spotlight was Aliyah Boston of the Indiana Fever, stunning in a dark-toned gown that reflected elegance and power. โ€œIt adds something special for the fans,โ€ she said, smiling.

Chicago Skyโ€™s breakout star Angel Reese brought drama in a leopard-print coat and sunglasses, returning after missing last yearโ€™s event. She wasnโ€™t the only one turning headsโ€”Aโ€™ja Wilson, the Las Vegas Acesโ€™ reigning MVP, stepped out in a maroon Di Petsa gown with a daring slit, paired with Saint Laurent gold earrings that glimmered under the lights.

Not all players chose glitzโ€”Natasha Cloud of the New York Liberty kept things grounded with a sharp pants-and-shirt combo, revealing she was a bit nervous about the walk. โ€œIโ€™m just here to enjoy the moment and have fun,โ€ she said.

Minnesota Lynx star and mom Napheesa Collier looked radiant but playfully admitted she may have opted for a different outfit had she realized thereโ€™d be so many children watching.

Fashion has always had a presence in the WNBA, with “Tunnel Fits” becoming a staple of athlete branding. But Thursday night pushed that to the forefront, making the orange carpet a canvas for empowerment, pride, and style.

With the perfect blend of fierce fashion and elite athleticism, the WNBA stars proved that confidence isnโ€™t just for the courtโ€”it shines just as bright off it.

Paris Honors Josephine Baker with Striking New Mural Celebrating Her Legacy

Written by Tanisha Cardozo

Paris has taken a striking step to honor one of its most beloved adopted daughters โ€” Josephine Baker. A bold and colorful mural by urban artist FKDL now graces a multicultural neighborhood of the city, serving as a symbol of freedom, unity, and courage.

The mural is part of a local street art festival organized by Paris Colors Ourq, a collective that aims to uplift communities through public art. For FKDL, the project was deeply personal โ€” a mission to amplify female icons in urban spaces. โ€œJosephine Baker was a creative spirit who defied the odds,โ€ he said. โ€œHer story deserves to live on the walls of this city.โ€

Born in St. Louis in 1906, Baker left the racially segregated United States in the 1920s for the artistic freedom of Paris. She became a sensation in the cityโ€™s cabaret scene, but her true legacy lies in her bravery. During World War II, she worked as a spy for the French Resistance. Later, she marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr. in Washington and became a voice for racial harmony.

Her son, Brian Baker, was present for the muralโ€™s unveiling. He spoke emotionally about his motherโ€™s legacy โ€” not of fame, but of compassion. โ€œShe adopted 12 children from all over the world,โ€ he said, โ€œto show that people of different races and cultures could live together in peace.โ€

In 2021, Josephine Baker became the first Black woman inducted into Franceโ€™s Panthรฉon, the countryโ€™s highest honor for national heroes. This mural is another chapter in her powerful legacy.

Whether through music, activism, or motherhood, Josephine Bakerโ€™s life was a masterclass in breaking barriers. And now, on a wall in Paris, her memory lives on โ€” larger than life and full of color.

Goaโ€™s Mauvin Godinho to Back Feature Film on Ram Janmabhoomi: โ€˜Ayodhya โ€“ The Final Argumentโ€™

Panaji | July 13, 2025 โ€” In a surprising intersection of politics and cinema, Goaโ€™s Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho is set to step into the film production space. According to credible media reports, the minister will produce a feature film titled โ€œAyodhya: The Final Argumentโ€ โ€” a cinematic deep dive into the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, one of the most defining and debated chapters in Indiaโ€™s post-independence history.

The project reportedly aims to weave together elements of faith, law, politics, and historical testimony, drawing from the landmark legal case that culminated in the 2019 Supreme Court verdict and the subsequent consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Though official announcements from Godinho or the production team are awaited, sources suggest that filming could begin in 2026, with plans for a large-scale release across India. Early reports also hint at a script that is part legal drama, part historical narrative, and part philosophical meditation on faith and national identity.

A Cinematic Re-telling of Modern Indian History

The title, โ€œAyodhya: The Final Argumentโ€, appears to reference the climactic courtroom proceedings that were pivotal in settling the decades-long dispute. The case, which saw some of Indiaโ€™s top legal minds representing various religious groups, concluded with a unanimous verdict by the Supreme Court that granted the disputed land for the construction of a Ram Temple while allocating alternate land for a mosque.

The film is expected to blend archival material, courtroom drama, and dramatized storytelling, presenting the case not just as a legal dispute, but as a national reflection on heritage, identity, and coexistence.

Political Vision Meets Cultural Expression

Mauvin Godinho, who has held multiple cabinet portfolios in Goa, is known for his keen interest in cultural affairs and spiritual matters. His entry into film production with a subject of this magnitude may mark a new chapter in political figures using cinema to engage in nation-building narratives.

While the film is likely to spark conversations and possibly controversy, it also presents an opportunity to reflect on how cinema can serve as a bridge between ideology and introspection, history and healing.

Stay tuned for more as Ayodhya: The Final Argument takes shape โ€” from script to screen.
