Govt. College, Quepem Signs MoU with St. Aloysius University, Mangalore to Promote Interdisciplinary Research

Quepem: Govt. College, Quepem has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, Karnataka, aimed at enhancing interdisciplinary research and academic collaboration between the two institutions.


The initiative was undertaken by the PG Department of Konkani and the Konkani Research Centre of Govt. College, Quepem. Prof. Dr. Rajay Pawar, Head of the PG Department of Konkani, was present on the occasion and was accompanied by Dipraj Satardekar of Govt. College, Quepem.

On behalf of St. Aloysius University, Vice-Chancellor Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis, S.J., and Registrar Dr. Ronald Nazareth signed the MoU as the principal signatories. Ms. Flora Castelino of the Konkani Institute of Mangalore was also present during the ceremony.

The MoU aims to facilitate interdisciplinary research initiatives involving faculty members and students from both institutions. Academic departments across Arts, Science and Commerce streams are expected to benefit from the collaboration.

With this agreement, both institutions will be able to optimally utilise shared academic resources, including libraries, research laboratories and expert resource persons. Several educationists conveyed their best wishes, describing the MoU as a positive step towards strengthening research and higher education initiatives.

In a significant step towards strengthening inter-institutional ties in higher education, DCT’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous), Goa, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT), Belagavi. The formal signing took place during a special function hosted in Belgaum, bringing together key academic leaders and faculty members from both institutions.

The objective of this collaboration is to enhance academic exchange, research collaborations, and promote knowledge-sharing practices that benefit students and faculty alike. This MoU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership that leverages the strengths of both institutions to co-create innovative educational and research opportunities.

Dempo College was represented by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj S. Kamat, Principal; Prof. Sangeeta Chakrabarty, Vice Principal and Head of I.T. Department; and Prof. Deepali Churi, Head of Economics Department. On behalf of KLS GIT, the delegation was led by Dr. M. S. Patil, Principal, along with Dr. H. N. In a significant step towards academic excellence and collaboration, MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the prestigious St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, is a renowned institution with a rich history spanning 144 years. The institution has been accredited with an A++ Grade by NAAC and was granted autonomous status in 2007.
