First National Waterway Floating Jetty Launch in Goa
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurates the first concrete floating jetty of India at Captain of Ports Jetty, Goa. The Floating jetty will be an extension of the existing Captain of Ports and will serve as a mooring point for off shore casino boat operations.
The Concrete Floating Jetty will boast the fenders, water facilities, electrical cabling, lights, drainage outlets and pumps n order to facilitate smooth operations of small vessels.
Traditional Route for Panjim Carnival Parade, Goa

The annual Panjim Carnival Parade at the Capital City, Goa will proceed through it’s traditional route, which will commence from Santa Monica Jetty to Kala Academy, Panjim – Goa. The Panjim Carnival will take place on 22nd February 2020.
After an initial denial of permission to hold annual carnival parade through it’s traditional route, the Corporation of the city of Panjim (CCP) seeked permission from North Goa Collector on Saturday along with the go ahead from Panjim Police and Traffice Cell of Goa Police.
Earlier the Parade was shifted a couple of years back to a new route considering the construction work of the third Mandovi Bridge. The Earlier route was from Miramar Circle to Dona Paula.
Fort Aguada Heritage Jail and Museum to be Opened for Public by Dec : Lobo
This Year, Minister for Ports Michael Lobo has promised that the restoration and renovation work of Fort Aguada Heritage Jail and Museum will commence and the same will be thrown open for public by the end of this year in December 2020.
Some Key Highlights of this place will be include statues of Freedom Fighters, Paintings, murals, sound and light shows, and open air exhibition and performance area for music events and art show for 160 people.
