Camp Rock 3 Officially Greenlit for Disney+ and Disney Channel with Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato Returning

Itโ€™s official โ€” Camp Rock 3 is coming to Disney+ and Disney Channel. Disney Branded Television confirmed today that the third installment of the beloved musical movie series has been greenlit, with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato set to return in both acting and executive producer roles.

Filming began this week in Vancouver for the Disney Channel Original Movie, which promises to blend nostalgia with a new generation of rising talent. Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas will reprise their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason, respectively, appearing as the members of the fictional band Connect 3. Demi Lovato also returns and joins the Jonas Brothers as executive producers on the project.

The story follows Connect 3 after they lose their opening act for a major reunion tour. The band returns to Camp Rock in search of the next big star, sparking a fierce competition among campers to earn the spotlight. Along the way, friendships are tested, new alliances form, and musical rivalries flare up.

Joining the cast are Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, newcomer Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, and Ava Jean as Madison. Sherry Cola joins the franchise as Lark, while Maria Canals-Barrera reprises her role as Connie.

Directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, the film is choreographed by Jamal Sims and produced by Disney Branded Television. Executive producers include Tim Federle, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Demi Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh.

According to Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis, the return of Camp Rock is not only a celebration of its legacy but also an opportunity to introduce its music, characters, and themes to a new generation. The first two Camp Rock movies remain among the top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time, with chart-topping soundtracks that helped launch the careers of its original stars.

With Camp Rock 3, Disney aims to recapture that cultural magic โ€” this time with a mix of legacy talent and fresh faces โ€” reminding fans old and new that the spirit of Camp Rock is very much alive.

Legendary Acquires Movie Rights to SenLinYuโ€™s Alchemised in Record-Breaking Seven-Figure Deal

In one of the biggest rights deals for a debut novel in recent memory, Legendary has acquired the film rights to Alchemised, the forthcoming dark romantasy novel by author SenLinYu, in a deal that insiders say exceeded $3 million. The preemptive acquisition was designed to suppress competition, sparking a whirlwind of industry interest and negotiations.

SenLinYu, who uses they/them pronouns, is a familiar name in the world of online fanfiction. They rose to fame in the Dramione fandom โ€” centered on the imagined romance between Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger โ€” particularly for their dystopian fantasy Manacled, which amassed over 10 million reads on Archive of Our Own (AO3) and earned over 100,000 five-star ratings on Goodreads. Their broader body of fan work, including Star Wars fics, has drawn more than 20 million downloads globally and has been translated into 23 languages.

Now stepping into the world of traditional publishing, SenLinYu is set to release Alchemised through Penguin Random House imprint Del Rey on September 23, with an ambitious first printing of 750,000 copies and translation rights already sold in 21 languages.

The story, which originally began as a Dramione concept before being transformed into an original dark fantasy, follows Helena Marino โ€” a gifted healer with forgotten memories โ€” who is sent to a crumbling estate ruled by a necromancer assigned to uncover the secrets hidden in her mind. As the official blurb teases, โ€œHelenaโ€™s fight โ€” to protect her lost history and to preserve the last remaining shreds of her former self โ€” is just beginning. For her prison and captor have secrets of their own โ€ฆ secrets Helena must unearth, whatever the cost.โ€

The acquisition is timely for Legendary, which is riding high off its output deal with Paramount and the box office success of Minecraft: The Movie. While the studio declined to comment on financial details, sources confirm the deal was an outright purchase that could rank among the highest film rights sales for a single book, not adjusted for inflation.

SenLinYu is represented by WME and attorney Matthew Sugarman at Weintraub Tobin. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, the author said, โ€œIโ€™m honored by Legendaryโ€™s incredible enthusiasm for the project and canโ€™t wait to see the world of Paladia come to life.โ€

With echoes of previous publishing-to-film success stories like Fifty Shades of Grey โ€” which famously began as Twilight fanfiction โ€” Alchemised appears poised to be the next phenomenon bridging fandom roots with blockbuster aspirations.

โ€˜Super Mario Galaxyโ€™ Movie Domain Registrations Surface Ahead of 40th Anniversary

Written by Intern Queeny George M.H , Team Allycaral

As the beloved video game icon Mario gears up to celebrate his 40th anniversary this week, the internet is already buzzing with speculation about his next big-screen adventure. In a curious development, NBCUniversal has quietly registered several domain names linked to a possible โ€˜Super Mario Galaxyโ€™ movie, ahead of Nintendo’s highly anticipated Direct broadcast scheduled for later today.

The domain discoveries have ignited fan theories that the upcoming animated sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, set for release in April 2026, may be officially titled Super Mario Galaxy. While no official announcements have been made by Nintendo or Universal Pictures, the timing of these registrations has led many to believe that news could drop during the Direct.

Adding fuel to the fire, earlier references to the Super Mario Galaxy title appeared briefly on a web page before being swiftly taken downโ€”a classic sign of information released prematurely.

When Nintendo originally announced the follow-up movie in March 2024, creator Shigeru Miyamoto noted it would be “based on the world of the Super Mario Bros. series,” but provided no further specifics. With today’s Nintendo Direct expected to touch on both current and upcoming Mario content, fans are hopeful this could include both a cinematic and possibly a gaming return to the fan-favorite Galaxy universe.

Whether this turns out to be an official confirmation or just a cautious step in production planning, one thing is certain: Marioโ€™s legacy continues to expand beyond the Mushroom Kingdomโ€”and possibly into the stars once again.

โ€œI Am Nothingโ€ Documentary on Vamona Navelcar Premieres to Acclaim in Lisbon

I Am Nothing (2025), a deeply moving documentary chronicling the life of acclaimed Goan artist Vamona Navelcar, premiered to a captivated audience on September 5th at the prestigious Museu Do Oriente in Lisbon, Portugal. Directed by Ronak Kamat, with an original score by Ashley Fernandes and produced by Gurudas Kamat under 99 Petals MediaWorld, the hour-long film delivered an emotionally rich and visually arresting portrayal of an artist who defied borders and time.

With over 50 attendees filling the auditorium, the film was received with resounding success, sparking heartfelt responses, particularly from those who knew Navelcar during his transformative years in Mozambique and Portugal. The intimate setting of the museum, coupled with the personal and reflective nature of the film, created an atmosphere of reverence and nostalgia.

The documentary masterfully weaves together archival footage, personal letters, interviews, and artwork to paint a full picture of Navelcarโ€”not just as an artist, but as a philosopher, teacher, and spiritual seeker. His journey from Goa to Mozambique, and eventually to Portugal, mirrors the complex intersections of art, exile, and identity, all of which are explored in the film with empathy and visual grace.

The Lisbon screening marks a significant milestone for the project, offering a meaningful return to a city that was once Navelcarโ€™s creative and emotional home. The event drew not only art lovers and film enthusiasts but also members of the Goan and Lusophone communities, many of whom found the experience deeply personal.

I Am Nothing stands as a cinematic tribute to an artist who remained committed to his values and vision, often at great personal cost. The film’s title, taken from one of Navelcarโ€™s own philosophical reflections, echoes throughout the narrative, offering viewers not just a biography, but a meditation on humility, resilience, and artistic truth.

With the Lisbon premiere complete, I Am Nothing is expected to continue its festival journey and wider public release, bringing Vamona Navelcarโ€™s story to new audiences across the globe.
