After making waves across film festivals and winning the South Asian Regional Award at the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival, The Awakening — a short film directed by Goan filmmaker Rameez Shaikh — is set for its official YouTube release on November 13, 2025. Crafted by Goan students, the film has been praised for its poignant environmental message and moving storytelling, having screened at Waves International Short Film Festival, Urban Adda Film Festival, and the Mangrove Festival.
