Norton Unveils the Manx R — The Future of Modern Superbikes Begins

Milan, Italy, November 7, 2025 — Norton Motorcycles has officially unveiled the Manx R, the first of six all-new models representing a bold resurgence for the legendary British marque. The launch marks Norton’s confident step into a new era of modern superbikes, blending heritage, innovation, and craftsmanship.

At the heart of the Manx R lies an all-new 1,200cc 72-degree V4 engine, delivering 206 hp and 130 Nm of torque for accessible yet exhilarating performance. Engineered for real-world usability, it prioritizes mid-range torque, ensuring instant response between 5,000 and 10,000 rpm — exactly where riders live their daily rides.

The Manx R’s semi-active Marzocchi suspension, Brembo Hypure brakes, and carbon-fibre frame and wheels represent the pinnacle of modern performance engineering. Designed to deliver precision handling and intuitive rider feedback, the bike ensures total connection between man and machine.

Visually, the Manx R embodies Norton’s new design philosophy — modern, integrated, dramatic, and connected. Inspired by minimalism and precision craftsmanship, its sculpted form and exposed components reflect a “less-is-more” ethos, transforming engineering into art.

Inside, technology meets intuition with an 8-inch TFT touchscreen, GoPro integration, Bluetooth connectivity, launch control, and cornering cruise control — setting new standards for connected superbikes.

Speaking on the launch, Richard Arnold, Executive Director of Norton Motorcycles, said:

“The Manx R has a visceral ‘must-ride’ appeal to those who crave adrenaline with refinement — riders who are connoisseurs of craftsmanship and exclusivity.”

Professor Gerry McGovern, Chief Creative Advisor, added:

“The Manx R embodies emotion, proportion, and drama — a perfect blend of design and engineering that elevates the rider experience.”

Under TVS Motor Company’s leadership, Norton continues to build its motorcycles in Solihull, West Midlands, combining British heritage with global innovation. The Manx R not only redefines the superbike but also reaffirms Norton’s legacy of excellence that began in 1898.

New Delhi, October 2025: Mercedes-Benz India has achieved a remarkable festive milestone, recording its best-ever Navratri sales by delivering over 2,500 cars in just nine days — averaging one delivery every six minutes!

The surge in sales is attributed to a combination of factors, including GST Reforms 2.0, which led to a price reduction of up to 6%, and the strong consumer sentiment during the festive season.

In addition to the Navratri success, Mercedes-Benz also reported 5,119 units sold in Q3 2025, marking its highest-ever September performance in the country.

A company spokesperson stated that the demand was particularly strong for SUVs and premium sedans, reflecting the growing appetite for luxury vehicles among Indian buyers.

Industry experts have lauded the government’s reform-driven economic policies and stable tax environment, crediting them for boosting India’s automotive sector.

Maruti Suzuki Hits Decade-High Festive Demand, Ramps Up Production with Sunday & Holiday Shifts

In an unprecedented surge in demand during the festive season, Maruti Suzuki has announced that its supply chain and production teams will now work on Sundays and public holidays to meet delivery expectations. According to Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki, the company recorded its best Navratri sales in a decade, delivering an astonishing 1.65 lakh vehicles in the first eight days alone.

The strong performance is attributed to a recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reform, which reduced tax rates on petrol, hybrid, LPG, and CNG vehicles from 28% to 18%, making cars more affordable. The resulting increase in customer sentiment has not only pushed sales but also created a logistical challenge, with over 3.5 lakh bookings reported in the last month and 2.5 lakh units still awaiting delivery.

Banerjee emphasized that while the logistics cycle had begun on September 22, it would take time to stabilize. However, he assured that Maruti Suzuki is fully committed to delivering vehicles to customers by the end of October.

Despite a 6% decline in domestic sales in September, the company saw a 2.7% year-on-year increase in total sales thanks to a massive 52% rise in exports, totaling over 42,000 units. With production ramping up, Maruti Suzuki is aiming to touch the 2 lakh festive delivery mark soon — a significant milestone driven by government policy, market readiness, and evolving customer demand.

This festive season marks a major turning point not only for Maruti Suzuki but for the entire Indian automotive sector, signaling a return to robust growth and renewed consumer confidence.
