In an era where professional boundaries often blur with personal realities, Jasveer Singh, Co-founder and CEO of Knot Dating, recently shared a leave email that perfectly captured the spirit of Gen Z authenticity.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), @jasveer10 posted a snapshot of a leave application with the caption:

โ€œGot the most honest leave application yesterday. Gen Z doesnโ€™t do filters!โ€

The email read:

โ€œHello Sir,
I recently had a breakup and haven’t been able to focus on work. I need a short break.
I’m working from home today, so I’d like to take leave from 28th to the 8th.
Regards.โ€

The post quickly gained traction online, amassing thousands of likes and comments. Users praised the employeeโ€™s emotional honesty and applauded Singh for responding with empathy rather than judgment.

Many netizens called the moment a refreshing reminder that mental well-being โ€” even when triggered by personal issues โ€” deserves acknowledgment in professional spaces. Others shared their own experiences of heartbreak, humorously calling for official โ€œbreakup leave policies.โ€

Kate Middleton Dazzles in Golden Gown and Princess Dianaโ€™s Iconic Tiara at Trump State Banquet

Written by Intern Queeny George M.H, Team Allycaral

The state banquet hosted at Windsor Castle for US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania was a night of regal splendor. Attended by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, the evening showcased royal elegance at its finest.

All eyes were on Kate Middleton, who stunned in a Phillipa Lepley silk crepe gown layered with a hand-embroidered golden Chantilly lace evening coat. Her look was elevated with the Cambridge Loverโ€™s Knot tiara, famously worn by Princess Diana.

The tiara, designed in 1914 by royal jeweler Garrard for Queen Mary, is one of the most iconic pieces in the British royal collection. Once owned by Diana, who admitted the piece was โ€œso heavy it gave her headaches,โ€ the tiara was placed in safekeeping at Buckingham Palace following her passing in 1997. It was later passed to Kate, who has worn it on several significant occasions.

Kate completed her look with pearl and diamond drop earrings and styled her blonde-highlighted hair in soft waves, letting the tiara take center stage.

The banquet itself was marked by symbolism and tradition, celebrating ties between the United States and the United Kingdom. But it was Kateโ€™s golden ensemble and Dianaโ€™s tiara that truly stole the spotlight, embodying both royal history and timeless elegance.

Sports Manufacturer Conclave: India Strengthens First-Ever Anti-Doping Framework

Written by Intern Queeny George M.H , Team Allycaral

The Central Government has directed all States and Union Territories to fast-track their urban cleanliness efforts under the ongoing Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0. In a virtual high-level review meeting, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal called for immediate action to eliminate dirty spots across cities with a renewed emphasis on visible, on-ground sanitation. He introduced a structured framework focused on aggressive state-level monitoring, citizen mobilization, and real-time tracking of cleanup efforts using the Swachhata App.

At the core of the initiative are Cleaning Target Units (CTUs), which will act as the operational arms to convert neglected or unsanitary urban lands into clean and dignified public spaces. โ€œThe CTUs are about converting eyesores into areas of pride, restoring dignity of public spaces and ensuring that cleanliness is not just on paper but visible and felt,โ€ said the Minister.

The drive is not a standalone effort but a continuation of the Swachh Bharat Mission, a flagship initiative launched on October 2, 2014, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rajghat, New Delhi. Rooted in the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, the mission initially focused on making India Open Defecation Free (ODF). Over the years, it has evolved to encompass broader goals of sustainable urban development and inclusive civic participation.

Minister Manohar Lal reiterated that cleanliness and urban development are inseparable โ€” two sides of the same coin. The call for fast-tracking this movement aims to revitalize urban spaces across India by empowering local governance bodies, encouraging citizen involvement, and leveraging digital tools for accountability and transparency. The central framework lays out specific timelines for cleanup operations, integration with the Swachhata App for real-time data updates, and a model of continuous review to ensure sustained progress.

The emphasis on visible cleanliness reaffirms the government’s commitment to not just policy but implementation, pushing for results that citizens can see and experience in their everyday environment. As India continues its journey toward becoming a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful nation, the Swachh Bharat Mission remains a powerful symbol of transformation, deeply rooted in collective responsibility and inspired by the values of the nationโ€™s founding leaders.

Sesa Goa Powers Over 8000 Sporting Dreams Through Grassroots Support on National Sports Day

On the occasion of National Sports Day, observed annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, Sesa Goa, a Vedanta Limited company, reflects on a legacy deeply intertwined with sports development in India. The 2025 theme, โ€œSport to Promote Peaceful Societies,โ€ aligns seamlessly with Sesa Goaโ€™s long-standing commitment to empowering youth and communities through sports.

For over seven decades, Sesa Goa has actively promoted sports across its operational locations. Between 1954 and 1991-92, it ran the Sesa Sports Club, before launching the Sesa Football Academy (SFA) in 1999 at its reclaimed mines in Sanquelim. Over the last 26 years, the SFA has nurtured the dreams of over 8000 young footballers through structured training, football camps, tournaments, and professional pathways. The academyโ€™s senior menโ€™s team was runner-up in the 2023-24 Goa Pro League and advanced to the I-League 3. Remarkably, 12 SFA graduates have gone on to represent India internationally, including notable names like Denzil Franco, Adil Khan, Pratesh Shirodkar, and Glan Martins.

What sets the SFA apart is its unique model โ€” it operates as a non-commercial, CSR-driven initiative that has endured and expanded even during mining bans and economic downturns. Its primary goal is to provide rural youth with access to world-class training and opportunities through sport. The academy has been recognised with a prestigious 3-star accreditation by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), one of just 15 such institutions nationwide and the only one from Goa.

Keeping with evolving times, the SFA has also ventured into womenโ€™s football with great success. Since 2017, it has financially supported the Vedanta Womenโ€™s League (VWL), now an established breeding ground for women’s football talent in the state. Across 8 seasons, the VWL has supported over 1400 aspiring women footballers. The SFAโ€™s senior womenโ€™s team clinched the VWL title in 2025 and went on to secure an impressive 3rd-place finish in the IWL2 โ€” a first for a Goan team. Rising star Pearl Fernandes is currently representing India at the U-17 SAFF Womenโ€™s Championship, following in the footsteps of other SFA-trained internationals like Karishma Shirvoikar and Michel Castanha.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Navin Jaju, CEO of Vedanta Sesa Goa, said, โ€œAt Vedanta Sesa Goa, we believe sport is a catalyst for transformation. Through the Sesa Football Academy (SFA), weโ€™re nurturing grassroots talentโ€”creating pathways for youth from rural areas to represent India and build secure futures. The SFA Senior Womenโ€™s Teamโ€™s recent IWL2 performance and the success of players like Pearl Fernandes highlight our commitment to professional training and inclusive growth.โ€

SFA continues to build the football ecosystem in Goa by organizing a variety of youth tournaments, such as the U-15 Youth Cup for boys and the Sesa Vedanta U-15 Tournament for girls. The Vedanta Football Championship is another key event that brings rural talent into the spotlight, providing a platform for aspiring footballers to shine.

The SFAโ€™s impact has also been praised by Dr. Caitano Fernandes, President of the Goa Football Association (GFA), who stated, โ€œI extend my best wishes to SFA on the occasion of National Sports Day. Sesa Goa has supported hundreds of footballers from Goa and has contributed tremendously to Indian football. Its backing of the Vedanta Women’s League has elevated womenโ€™s football in Goa to new heights.โ€

Beyond football, Vedanta Sesa Goa is actively engaged in supporting other athletes. It has provided extensive supportโ€”both financial and logisticalโ€”to para-athlete Sakshi Kale, who recently secured a silver medal at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025 in Delhi and two bronze medals at the Tata India Open Para Athletics Championships. Additionally, Sesa Goa has promoted badminton through the Vedanta Ultimate Badminton League (VUBL), as well as cricket tournaments across its locationsโ€”ensuring that athletes from all backgrounds and sports receive holistic support.

Through decades of sustained efforts, Sesa Goa has proven that sports can be a powerful tool for social transformation. On National Sports Day, the success of the Sesa Football Academy, its women’s and para-sports programs, and its role in building inclusive sporting ecosystems stands as a shining example of how corporate responsibility can truly uplift a nation through the medium of sport.
