The SP Traffic department in Goa has issued an official traffic advisory in view of the Carnival Parade scheduled to take place in Panaji on February 14, 2026. The advisory aims to streamline vehicle movement, minimize congestion, and ensure public safety during one of the most awaited cultural celebrations of the year.
According to the notification, incoming traffic towards Panaji city will continue through the New Patto Bridge route. However, vehicles will be diverted at the Dayanand Bandodkar Statue junction and directed to proceed via MG Road and Church Square.
Meanwhile, outgoing traffic arrangements have also been modified. Vehicles leaving the city will be diverted at Kala Academy and Campal Ganesh junctions. Motorists will then exit Panaji through 18 June Road–Cortin or via Bhatlem–Mala Road, depending on their destination.
Authorities have urged commuters to plan their travel in advance, follow designated diversions, and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed along the parade route. The advisory is expected to help maintain a smooth flow of traffic while allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the festive Carnival atmosphere safely.
