Sanvedan Kendra Signs MoU with Ganpat Parsekar College of Education to Advance Katkari Community Research

Sanvedan Kendra marked a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ganpat Parsekar College of Education to undertake educational research work focused on the Katkari community in Goa. The agreement, signed at Arambol, formalises a three-year collaboration aimed at strengthening research-driven interventions for one of the stateโ€™s most underprivileged communities.

This initiative is part of Sanvedan Kendraโ€™s ongoing partnership with the Goa State Research Foundation under the IRIS-LD Project, which is dedicated to promoting educational development and inclusive growth among the Katkari population. The project seeks to address existing gaps through structured research, innovative strategies, and community-focused solutions.

The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of Laxmikant Parsekar, Chairman of the institution and former Chief Minister of Goa, adding significance to the occasion. His presence underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between academic institutions and grassroots organisations in addressing social challenges.

The partnership reflects a shared vision of combining academic expertise with field-level experience to create sustainable impact. By leveraging research capabilities and on-ground insights, the collaboration aims to develop meaningful educational interventions that can uplift the Katkari community and improve access to learning opportunities.

For Sanvedan Kendra, the MoU represents both recognition and responsibility, as its work continues to gain acknowledgment from reputed institutions. The collaboration stands as a step forward in fostering inclusive development, with a focus on long-term, research-backed solutions for marginalized communities in Goa.
