Panaji: Manipal Hospital Goa celebrated World Health Day 2026 with a focused initiative promoting preventive healthcare and health awareness. The event highlighted the importance of early detection, lifestyle-based prevention, and regular medical checkups as key steps toward maintaining overall health and reducing disease burden.
Hospital Director Mr. Surendra Prasad emphasized that “regular health checkups are essential for early diagnosis and better outcomes. Preventive care is key to leading a healthy life.”
The programme featured participation from leading doctors and hospital leadership, including Dr. Shekhar Salkar – Senior Consultant, Surgical Oncology; Dr. Mahesh Naik – Consultant, General Surgery; Dr. Deepak Murthy – Lead Consultant, ENT; Dr. Aditya Phadte – Consultant, Endocrinology and Diabetology; Dr. Kinjal Kothari – Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology; Dr. Sheren Bhat – Medical Superintendent; and senior management staff.
