Shree Shree Shree Satguru Bhaumaharaji, a revered spiritual guide and humanitarian known for his lifelong dedication to uplifting humanity through spiritual teachings, compassion, and selfless service, has been conferred the prestigious Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) degree.
The honorary doctorate was awarded on March 25, 2026, by Boston Imperial University in recognition of his contributions to humanity and Sanatan Dharma. The ceremonial citation for the conferral was held in Goa on April 4, marking a significant moment of recognition for his impactful work.
The event was graced by Digamber Kamat, Hon. Minister for PWD, along with other dignitaries who acknowledged the spiritual leader’s enduring contributions to society.
Addressing the gathering, Satguru Bhaumaharaji humbly dedicated the honour to humanity, stating that the recognition belongs to all of mankind rather than to him alone. He emphasized the importance of setting aside ego as a fundamental step toward achieving meaningful progress and performing good deeds.
Reflecting on life’s transient nature, he spoke about how individuals come into the world with nothing and leave the same way, highlighting the deeper purpose of human existence. He also expressed concern over the ongoing conflicts and destruction in the world, stressing that while destruction can happen quickly, rebuilding takes years of effort, making peace an essential priority.
He further underlined that the path to global harmony begins with inner peace. According to him, when individuals cultivate peace within themselves, it naturally extends outward to society, communities, nations, and ultimately the world.
For years, his ashram has been actively conducting programs focused on promoting peace, unity, and harmony. He concluded his address by urging everyone to collectively work towards building a peaceful world, beginning with inner transformation.
The recognition stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment to spiritual growth, humanitarian service, and the promotion of universal peace.
