Vijay Kumar, Secretary at the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, visited Goa Shipyard Limited to review its ongoing operations and future development plans.
During the visit, he held detailed strategic discussions with Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay and the senior leadership team. N. Vinod Kumar was also present, highlighting the collaborative efforts within the maritime sector.
The Secretary was apprised of the shipyard’s ongoing project execution, infrastructure augmentation, and operational advancements. Discussions also focused on GSL’s ambitious Greenfield expansion plans, which aim to enhance capacity and position the shipyard for future-ready shipbuilding capabilities.
He appreciated the organisation’s modern infrastructure, advanced technological capabilities, and its crucial contribution to strengthening India’s maritime ecosystem. The visit underscored the government’s continued emphasis on port-led development and the growth of domestic shipbuilding capabilities.
