Goa Cricket Association Inaugurates New Cricket Centre at Parse High School

Goa Cricket Association has taken another significant step towards strengthening grassroots cricket development with the inauguration of a new cricket centre at Parse Citizen’s Education Society, located at Parse High School.

The centre was inaugurated by GCA Secretary Tulshidas Shetye and Treasurer Abdul Majid, in the presence of GCA Member Viraj Phadke, along with Principal Belgaunkar, school authorities, and teaching staff.
Addressing the gathering, Tulshidas Shetye highlighted that the establishment of the centre represents a crucial step in expanding cricketing opportunities at the grassroots level. He emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in identifying and nurturing young talent, especially from emerging regions.
Treasurer Abdul Majid reiterated the association’s commitment to building strong sports infrastructure across Goa. He noted that providing access to quality training facilities and structured coaching programmes is essential to help aspiring cricketers develop their skills and progress to higher levels of the sport.
The new cricket centre is expected to serve as a platform for budding players to receive professional guidance and hone their abilities in a supportive environment. It also reflects the GCA’s broader vision of promoting cricket at the school level and creating pathways for young athletes to pursue the sport competitively.
With initiatives like this, the Goa Cricket Association continues to invest in the future of cricket in the state, ensuring that talent is nurtured from the grassroots and given the opportunity to flourish on larger stages.
