BeLEX 2026 Strengthens Goa–Belagavi Economic Ties with Focus on Trade Collaboration

The Belagavi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) successfully inaugurated BeLEX 2026, a premier industrial and trade exhibition aimed at fostering regional economic collaboration. The event marked a significant step towards strengthening ties between Goa and Belagavi, with prominent industry leaders and policymakers in attendance.

Ms. Pratima Dhond, President of the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), attended the inauguration as the Guest of Honour. The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Mr. Abhay Patil, MLA, Belagavi Dakshin, along with Mr. Lalit Gandhi, Chairman (Minister of State) JMDFC, and Mr. Prabhakar Nagamunoli, President of the Belagavi Chamber.

Ms. Dhond was accompanied by Mr. Sanjay Amonkar, Director General of GCCI, and Ms. Ambika Dhakhenkar, Deputy Director, GCCI. Their visit underscored a shared commitment to enhancing cross-border economic cooperation and strengthening trade relations between the two regions.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Dhond highlighted the strong synergy between Goa and Belagavi, pointing to their geographical proximity, complementary industries, and shared economic interests. She emphasized that platforms like BeLEX create valuable opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and supply chain integration.

She further noted that many businesses in Goa and Belagavi remain unaware of the diverse products manufactured within these regions, often sourcing materials from distant markets such as Coimbatore and Punjab. To address this gap, GCCI is planning a dedicated industrial exhibition in Goa in May 2026, featuring products from Belagavi along with participation from Goan industries.

The GCCI delegation also extended an invitation to exhibitors and participants at BeLEX 2026 to explore investment opportunities in Goa and participate in upcoming trade events in the state. This initiative aims to deepen bilateral engagement and encourage cross-participation between industries.

During the visit, the delegation engaged with exhibitors, industry representatives, and members of BCCI to identify areas of mutual cooperation and potential partnerships. These interactions further reinforced the commitment of both regions to expand business networks and foster economic growth.

BeLEX 2026 has brought together a wide spectrum of industries, showcasing innovation, technology, and manufacturing capabilities. The exhibition not only highlights Belagavi’s emergence as a key industrial hub but also serves as a catalyst for building stronger economic bridges with Goa.
