Škoda Auto India has officially launched the refreshed and upgraded Škoda Kushaq under its “Easy to Love” proposition, setting new benchmarks in value, safety, and driving dynamics in the Indian SUV segment. With a strong focus on democratising European technology, the new Kushaq brings premium features and advanced engineering within reach of a wider audience.
The updated SUV features a refreshed front and rear design, enhanced standard equipment, and a wide array of comfort and convenience features. These include LED headlamps and taillamps, sequential rear turn indicators, alloy wheels, electric sunroof, Climatronic automatic AC, and a touchscreen infotainment system across variants. The model also comes with the brand’s “Škoda Super Care” package, ensuring a seamless ownership experience with extended warranty and service benefits.
Safety continues to be a key highlight of the Škoda Kushaq, retaining its Global NCAP 5-star rating and now offering over 40 safety features as standard. Enhancements include rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and defogger, and auto-dimming IRVMs, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to uncompromising safety.
Under the hood, the SUV offers two turbocharged petrol engine options. The 1.0 TSI engine delivers a balance of efficiency and performance, paired with a six-speed manual or a segment-first eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission. For enthusiasts, the more powerful 1.5 TSI engine produces higher power and torque and is mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. This variant also features Active Cylinder Technology, improving fuel efficiency without compromising performance.
The new Kushaq is available in five trims—Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo—catering to a wide range of customer preferences. The entry-level Classic+ variant stands out with a strong feature list, including six airbags and over 25 safety features as standard, along with premium comfort additions. Higher variants bring in advanced technology such as a virtual cockpit, panoramic sunroof, rear seat massager, ventilated seats, and premium sound systems.
The Monte Carlo variant, inspired by the brand’s motorsport legacy, adds distinctive styling elements, sporty accents, and exclusive design features, further elevating the appeal of the SUV.
With prices starting at ₹10.69 lakh for the 1.0 TSI range and going up to ₹18.79 lakh for the 1.5 TSI DSG variants, the Škoda Kushaq positions itself as a strong contender in the mid-size SUV segment. Backed by a robust network of over 325 touchpoints across 183+ cities, the launch reinforces Škoda Auto India’s commitment to delivering accessible premium mobility solutions in India.
