P&G SEHAT Reaches 10,000 Women Through ‘Women Care Week’ Health Camps

P&G SEHAT, the healthcare-focused CSR initiative of Procter & Gamble Health Limited, has successfully concluded its special ‘Women Care Week’, reaching over 10,000 underserved women across 10 locations in India.

Conducted in partnership with HelpAge India, the initiative brought free, comprehensive primary healthcare services directly to communities in cities including Goa, Chennai, Jaipur, Patna, Guwahati and others.

The camps focused on addressing the healthcare needs of elderly women, pregnant and lactating mothers, and adolescent girls. Beneficiaries received free on-site consultations from specialists including gynaecologists, paediatricians, physicians, and nutritionists. In addition, antenatal care support and essential diagnostic screenings were conducted, including tests for haemoglobin levels to detect anaemia, along with blood pressure and blood sugar checks.

Participants were also provided free medicines where required and guided for further treatment through referrals, ensuring continuity of care beyond the camps. A strong emphasis was placed on nutrition awareness, highlighting the importance of balanced diets and proper supplementation for women and adolescents.

The initiative also promoted awareness and access to government healthcare schemes such as the Ayushman Bharat Health Account, enabling beneficiaries to understand registration processes and benefits available under the programme.

Speaking on the initiative, Milind Thatte, Managing Director of Procter & Gamble Health Limited, noted that access to timely primary healthcare remains a challenge in underserved communities, particularly for women. He emphasised that the ‘Women Care Week’ aimed to bridge this gap by delivering healthcare services at the grassroots level while also building awareness around nutrition and government healthcare support systems.

The camps form part of the broader efforts of P&G SEHAT through its Mobile Healthcare Units, which continue to deliver preventive healthcare services across the country. These initiatives have contributed to improved screening for conditions such as anaemia, hypertension, and diabetes, while promoting maternal and child health.

Through this programme, P&G SEHAT continues to strengthen preventive healthcare, encourage early diagnosis, and empower women with the knowledge and resources needed to take charge of their health and wellbeing.
