Late Rajan Bhai Angane Memorial Under-16 Cricket Tournament: Oxford Cricket Club of Goa Crush Opponents by 131 Runs


Oxford Cricket Club of Goa delivered an emphatic performance to defeat Aim Cricket Academy B by 131 runs in the Late Rajan Bhai Angane Memorial Under-16 Cricket Tournament on Thursday at Boarding Ground, Malvan.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Oxford Cricket Club put up a formidable total of 234 runs in 34.2 overs. The innings was anchored by a เคถเคพเคจเคฆเคพเคฐ century from Adeep Prabhu Miskin, who scored 102 runs off just 62 balls. His innings, studded with 12 fours and 5 sixes, laid a strong foundation for the teamโ€™s total. Captain Tanishq Naik contributed with 22 runs, while Harsh Nain added 18.

In response, Aim Cricket Academy B struggled against a disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for 103 runs in 26.2 overs. Svanik Phadte top-scored with 33 runs, while Nanthan Sawant (18) and Saish Virnodkar (17) tried to stabilise the innings.

Oxfordโ€™s bowling was spearheaded by Abhisek Lamani, who delivered a match-winning spell, claiming 5 wickets for 29 runs in 7 overs. He received good support from Barhaan Dash, who picked up 2 wickets, along with Mubarak Tadapatri and Tanishq Naik, who claimed a wicket each.

For his outstanding bowling performance, Abhisek Lamani was awarded the Man of the Match.

With this convincing win, Oxford Cricket Club of Goa will next face Ved Sports Club on March 20.
