Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust, organisers of the recently concluded GSB Unity Cup 3.0, once again demonstrated how sports can be a powerful platform for social impact by combining athletic excellence with meaningful community outreach.
As part of its charitable initiatives, the Trust extended financial assistance to key institutions working at the grassroots level, benefiting individuals across communities and backgrounds. A cheque of โน32,500 was presented to Aasthaโs Anand Niketan, which runs a school for mentally challenged children, while โน60,000 was donated to Mahalasa Narayani School to support the education of underprivileged students.
Speaking on the initiative, Trust President Sidhit Raiturkar emphasised that the Unity Cup goes beyond sport. He noted that the organisation remains equally committed to giving back to society and supporting institutions making a meaningful difference at the grassroots level.
Tournament Chief Coordinator Venkat Biche highlighted that the Unity Cup has always stood for togetherness, both on and off the field. While the tournament showcases sporting talent, such initiatives reflect the Trustโs responsibility towards society and its commitment to supporting impactful causes.
Looking ahead, the Trust announced its next initiativeโa medical camp to be organised in rural parts of Goa, aimed at providing essential healthcare services to those in need.
The successful hosting of GSB Unity Cup 3.0 saw enthusiastic participation and strong community support, further reinforcing its position as a platform that seamlessly blends sportsmanship with social responsibility.
