Bank of Baroda has contributed ₹2,00,16,000 to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF), reaffirming its commitment to supporting the families of India’s armed forces personnel. The contribution, made under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, will fund educational scholarships for 834 children of ex-servicemen, martyrs, and their widows.
The fund operates under the aegis of the Kendriya Sainik Board, which functions within the Ministry of Defence and works towards the welfare and rehabilitation of ex-servicemen and their dependents.
The cheque was formally handed over by Beena Vaheed to D. S. Basera, in the presence of M. V. S. Sudhakar at New Delhi.
Through this contribution, Bank of Baroda has reiterated its deep respect and gratitude towards the sacrifices made by the nation’s armed forces. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that children of those who have served the country receive access to quality education and opportunities for a secure future.
The bank emphasised that such CSR initiatives are part of its broader mission to create meaningful social impact. By investing in education and empowerment, the institution continues to strengthen its role as a responsible corporate entity committed to nation-building and inclusive growth.
