Mount Everest Breweries Ltd. Expands into Goa, Enters 13th Market


Mount Everest Breweries Ltd. (MEBL), part of the Associated Kedia Group, has announced its expansion into Goa, marking its entry into the state as its 13th market of operations. The move aligns with the companyโ€™s broader strategy of expanding its footprint to 20 states by the end of FY26 and achieving a 10 percent national market share by 2029.

Known as one of Indiaโ€™s leading tourism destinations, Goa attracts a large number of domestic and international travellers every year, making it a key market for consumer brands. The state offers strong potential for companies to connect with a diverse, experience-driven audience while building brand visibility among younger consumers.

As part of its entry into Goa, MEBL will introduce a portfolio of its products, including its flagship beer brand STOK in both mild and strong variants. The company will also launch its spirits portfolio, including Hilfort, Nicobar, and Lemount, catering to evolving consumer preferences across retail and hospitality segments.

Commenting on the expansion, Vedant Kedia, Whole Time Director at MEBL, said that Goa provides a unique platform where consumers are open to exploring new brands and experiences. He noted that the expansion will help the company connect with travellers and younger audiences who influence consumption trends across the country.

The companyโ€™s flagship beer, STOK, is positioned around the lifestyle theme of #LiveTheChill, reflecting a relaxed and experiential approach to social drinking. Goaโ€™s vibrant yet laid-back culture is expected to offer an ideal setting for the brand to engage with Gen Z and millennial consumers seeking authenticity and experience-driven consumption.

To strengthen its presence in the state, MEBL has partnered with two distributors and over 700 retailers across Goa. Its product portfolio will be available through both retail outlets and the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants and Cafรฉs) segment, ensuring widespread accessibility across the tourism and hospitality ecosystem.

With this expansion, Mount Everest Breweries continues to build its national footprint while aligning its offerings with changing consumer lifestyles and social experiences, particularly in key tourism-driven markets like Goa.
