The milestone has been achieved with the use of the advanced VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution, reflecting the hospital’s strong focus on integrating cutting-edge medical technology.
The procedures were carried out under the expertise of Dr. Rohan R. Desai, Consultant – Hip & Knee Replacement Surgeon, along with his dedicated team. This achievement highlights a major step forward in enhancing surgical precision, patient safety, and long-term clinical outcomes in Goa’s healthcare ecosystem.
The VELYS robotic system is specifically designed for total and partial knee replacements, enabling highly personalised and minimally invasive procedures. By providing real-time intraoperative insights and data-driven accuracy, the system allows surgeons to perform advanced soft-tissue balancing. This leads to reduced post-operative pain, quicker recovery, and improved mobility for patients.
