Indian cricket star Shubman Gill is set to be honoured with the Polly Umrigar Award for Cricketer of the Year at the prestigious BCCI Naman Awards, scheduled to take place in New Delhi on March 15, 2026.
Gill earned the recognition following an outstanding year with the bat and impressive leadership performances for the Indian team.

During the 2025 season, Shubman Gill delivered remarkable performances across formats and also captained India during the Test tour of England.
Under his leadership, India secured a 2–2 draw in the Test series in England, a result that was widely praised as a strong performance against one of the toughest teams in international cricket.
Gill’s consistency and maturity at the crease, combined with his leadership abilities, have made him one of the most influential young players in world cricket.
Rahul Dravid to Receive Lifetime Achievement Honour
Meanwhile, legendary cricketer and former Indian head coach Rahul Dravid will receive the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the most prestigious honours in Indian cricket.
The award recognises Dravid’s extraordinary contributions to Indian cricket both as a player and a coach.
A Legendary Career and Coaching Legacy
As a player, Rahul Dravid was widely respected for his technical excellence, resilience, and leadership, earning the nickname “The Wall.”
Following his retirement, Dravid transitioned into coaching and played a key role in nurturing young talent in Indian cricket. His coaching tenure reached a historic milestone when India won the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, marking one of the defining achievements of his coaching career.
