JCI Sanquelim successfully organised a Free Water and Tang Distribution Project during the vibrant Shigmotsav celebrations held in Sanquelim (Sakhali).
The initiative aimed to support and refresh the large number of participants and spectators who gathered to witness the grand cultural festivities. As part of the project, members of JCI Sanquelim arranged the distribution of Tang and drinking water along the parade route, ensuring that people taking part in the celebrations could stay hydrated during the event.
Through this initiative, approximately 9,000 cups of water and Tang were distributed, benefiting nearly 6,000 people. The project received an overwhelming response and appreciation from both the public and participants attending the festival.
The initiative reflects the core philosophy of the Junior Chamber International, which promotes the principle โService to Humanity is the Best Work of Life.โ For the members of JCI Sanquelim, the project holds special significance as it represents their continued commitment to community service and social responsibility.
The project was carried out under the leadership of Asmita Shaba Gauns, along with Past President Nikita Desai and Project Director Niptesh Naik, with active participation from the members of the organisation.
On behalf of JCI Sanquelim, heartfelt gratitude was extended to Past President Sachin Karpe for sponsoring the water and Sujay Kolhapurkar for sponsoring Tang. Special thanks were also conveyed to Suraj for his generous support.
Appreciation was extended to Past Presidents Nikita Desai, Chetan, and Manisha for managing the water station. Special gratitude was also expressed to JCI India Zone 11 and JFD Shaba for their continued support and guidance.
Members who played a key role in the successful execution of the project included JC Tejas, JC Tushar, JC Asma, JC Sulaksha, JC Saiesh, JC Niptesh, JC Juhi, JC Rajat, and JC Atmaram, along with Junior JC Kaavya, whose dedication ensured the smooth implementation of the initiative.
