JCI Vasco Celebrates Successful Aboli Week 2026, Empowering Over 500 Women


JCI Vasco successfully organised Aboli Week 2026, a grand celebration dedicated to women, held from March 1 to March 12, 2026.

The initiative featured 13 impactful programmes aimed at empowering women across various fields including health, entrepreneurship, education, and personal development, benefiting over 500 women in the community.

The week-long celebration included a wide range of engaging activities such as Dream, Dare and Do, WoW Awards, Walkathon, Flameless Cooking Competition, Mehendi Competition, and the popular Mrs. Vasco contest.

Other key programmes included a Business Expo, Saree Pre-pleating Workshop, a Financial Awareness Talk for Ladies at Kia Motors, and POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Awareness Training.

To promote health and social awareness, the organisation also conducted a Breast Cancer Screening Camp, while entrepreneurial skills were encouraged through a Chocolate Making Entrepreneurship Talk.

The celebrations further included a Women’s Day programme at MES Madhav Kamat Higher Secondary School, promoting awareness and inspiration among young students.

The initiative was supported by several organisations and partners including Dr Celso Navemarg Foundation, Crafters Yard, Shree Foods, SA Graphics, DivyaKruti, Box of Happiness, and Ayurecia Foundation.

Educational institutions such as Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce and Janta Vachnalaya also extended their support for the programmes.

The Grand Celebration Day was graced by R. Kowsik, who attended as the Chief Guest and praised the efforts of JCI Vasco in organising a meaningful initiative dedicated to women empowerment.

The celebration was also attended by Dr. Celso Fernandes, Mamta Naik, Arafat Ahmed, and Shilpa Raghava, whose presence added encouragement and recognition to the initiative.

Through Aboli Week 2026, JCI Vasco reaffirmed its commitment to community development, women empowerment, and leadership building, creating opportunities for women to learn, grow, and celebrate their achievements.
