Udant celebrated its 13th International Women’s Day with the inspiring theme “Give to Gain,” recognising the achievements and contributions of eight remarkable women from Goa who have excelled in their respective fields.
The event served as a platform to highlight the strength, resilience and empowerment of women, bringing together achievers who have made significant contributions to society.
Among the women honoured was documentary filmmaker and actress Prachi Shirodkar, known for her creative work and storytelling through cinema. Driver Shilpa Vantekar was recognised for breaking stereotypes and inspiring others through her determination.
Entrepreneur Dr. Sandhya Kini Mayenkar was felicitated for her achievements in business, while athlete Angela Doroteia DeSouza was honoured for her dedication to sports.
National Award-winning cosmetologist Natasha Oreste Carvalho also received recognition for her professional excellence and contributions to the beauty and wellness industry.
Artisan Sonali Rajaram Parwar was celebrated for preserving and promoting traditional crafts, while champion athlete Geetanjali R. Nagvekar was honoured for her achievements in competitive sports.
Young student achiever Anarita Fernandes was also felicitated, symbolising the promise of future leadership and excellence.
