The 28th Installation Ceremony of JCI Curchorem was held with great enthusiasm and pride on Sunday at the Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Hall in Curchorem, marking a significant milestone for the organisation. On the occasion, JFM Grahfarj N. P. Fernandes was officially installed as the President for the year 2026, along with the newly elected Local Organisation Governing Board.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome to dignitaries, past presidents, members and guests. The formal Call to Order by JFM Sheela Amanawar initiated the proceedings, followed by the recitation of the JCI Creed and Mission Statement, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to leadership development, community service and positive change.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Nilesh Cabral, MLA of Curchorem Constituency, whose address encouraged members to continue their efforts towards community development.
The ceremony was further dignified by Guest of Honour JFM Adv. Mamta Naik, Zone President of JCI India Zone 11, and Shailendra P. Veluskar, Entrepreneur of Kris Manufacturing Company.
Special invitees included JFD Shaba Gauns, Immediate Past Zone President, and JFM Arafath Ahamed, Assigned Zone Vice President, Region A, JCI India Zone 11, whose presence added prestige to the event.
A key highlight of the evening was the administration of the installation oath to President JFM Grahfarj N. P. Fernandes, who pledged to uphold the constitution and values of JCI with integrity and dedication.
In his acceptance speech, Fernandes thanked members for their trust and presented his vision for the year ahead, focusing on youth empowerment, community initiatives, membership growth and strengthening the organisational framework of JCI Curchorem
During the ceremony, the flagship project “Har Ghar JCI” was also officially launched by the dignitaries. The initiative aims to expand JCI’s presence at the grassroots level and encourage greater community engagement across households.
Members of the newly appointed Local Organisation Governing Board also took their oath of office, symbolising unity, teamwork and a collective commitment to service and leadership.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary Jc Adv. Franskina Gama, followed by the National Anthem and fellowship, leaving members inspired and motivated for a productive and impactful year ahead for JCI Curchorem.
