A huge crowd turned up to witness the Indian Orchid Festival 2026 held in Pakyong district of Sikkim, celebrating the region’s rich diversity of orchids and natural beauty.
The festival was organised by the ICAR–National Research Centre for Orchids, drawing nature enthusiasts, tourists and orchid lovers from different parts of the country.
Visitors at the event got an opportunity to explore a vibrant display of orchid varieties, highlighting the importance of orchid conservation and research in the Himalayan region.
The festival also aimed to promote awareness about orchid cultivation, biodiversity and the ecological significance of these unique flowering plants.
