Panaji: Ahead of International Women’s Day, Manipal Hospital Goa has introduced a special health screening package designed specifically for women, with the aim of encouraging preventive healthcare and regular health assessments.
Hospital authorities said the initiative seeks to raise awareness about the importance of women’s health and the benefits of identifying potential medical issues at an early stage. The package consists of several diagnostic tests and specialist consultations that evaluate important health indicators.
The screening includes tests such as Thyroid Profile, Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Serum Creatinine, Pap Smear, ECG, Haemogram, HbA1c, Urine Routine and Microscopy, along with Ultrasound of the Abdomen and Pelvis and Mammogram for both breasts.
Participants will also receive consultations with an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist, along with a diet consultation aimed at guiding women on maintaining better health and lifestyle practices.
Hospital officials noted that regular health screenings can play a key role in detecting medical conditions early and managing them effectively. They added that initiatives like this are meant to motivate women to take proactive steps toward safeguarding their health.
The special screening package will be available until April 5, 2026, and those interested can contact the hospital for additional details.
