JCI Sanquelim, in partnership with Panchamrutha Industries Pvt. Ltd., celebrated Women’s Day on 5th March 2026 as part of its ABOLI Week festivities, hosting a vibrant program dedicated to honouring and empowering women in the community.
The event featured a Fancy Dress Competition for children and a Cooking Competition for women, both of which saw enthusiastic participation and added excitement to the celebrations.
The program was graced by Chief Guest Sulakshana Sawant. Distinguished guests included Shri Jambhulingappa Hosmani, Managing Director of Panchamrutha Industries Pvt. Ltd., Past Presidents of JCI Sanquelim Rita Desai and Nikita Desai, and the current President Asmita Gauns.
On this occasion, JCI Sanquelim felicitated several eminent women from various fields in recognition of their significant contributions to society. Honourees included:
Siddhi Prabhu, Chairperson of Sankhali Municipal Council
Druvi Chari, singer and proprietor of Kamal Restaurant
Mitali Desai, young entrepreneur and founder of Sweet Frosting Cake Studio
Shubhada Sawaikar, retired teacher
Deepa Pangam, retired matron
Swati Mainkar, social worker
Radhika Kamat Satoskar, journalist
The celebration highlighted the spirit of ABOLI Week, promoting empowerment, community participation, and appreciation for the contributions of women across society.
