Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor marked her birthday this Thursday with a spiritual visit to the revered Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh choosing to undertake the traditional pilgrimage on foot through the historic Alipiri route.
Videos and photographs of the actor walking nearly 3,550 steps along the Alipiri footpath quickly went viral on social media. Fans praised her devotion and commitment as she made the physically demanding climb to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara.
Janhvi began the early morning ascent accompanied by her security team. Despite the large crowd of devotees, the actor was seen warmly interacting with people along the path, greeting them and posing for selfies. She kept her appearance simple, wearing a white floral kurta-pyjama during the pilgrimage.
Fans on social media appreciated her humility and devotion. One admirer wrote that despite having the option of VIP darshan, the actor chose to walk barefoot along the Alipiri route to seek blessings at Tirumala. Another fan said that while glamour is part of her profession, her faith, belief and dedication were truly inspiring.
The visit continues a long-standing tradition for the actor, who often travels to Tirumala on important personal occasions. Last year, she visited the temple on the birth anniversary of her late mother Sridevi and was accompanied by actor Sidharth Malhotra during that trip.
Over the years, Janhvi Kapoor’s regular visits to Tirumala have strengthened her image as one of the more spiritually inclined figures in Hindi cinema. Whether visiting with family, friends or quietly on her own, her pilgrimages continue to resonate with fans who admire her devotion and simplicity.
