Panaji: The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) has congratulated Goan cricketer Purvaja Verlekar for her outstanding performance in the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal One Day Trophy, where she scored a brilliant unbeaten 103.
Purvaja’s century came in a Women’s List-A match played at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1. Her innings reflected determination, skill and composure, bringing pride to Goa cricket.
GCA President Mahesh Dessai praised the young cricketer, stating that her performance highlights the growing strength of women’s cricket in Goa. He said scoring an unbeaten century at the national level is a remarkable achievement and will inspire many young cricketers in the state.
GCA Secretary Tulshidas Shetye also congratulated Purvaja, describing her innings as a proud moment for Goa cricket and wishing her continued success in the tournament.
The Goa Cricket Association extended its best wishes to Purvaja Verlekar for the remaining matches in the competition.
