Goa, March 5, 2026: Vedanta Sesa Goa has announced the launch of the fourth edition of its flagship Women’s Day campaign, #IronLadiesIndia’26, a transformative initiative that has grown into a powerful platform for expression, empowerment and progress since its inception in 2023.
Over the past three years, the campaign has touched the lives of more than 50,000 women across 30 villages in four states, championing women’s empowerment both within the workplace and in communities. It has celebrated changemakers in education, healthcare, social work and community development, while also highlighting the growing representation of women in mining — a sector traditionally marked by low female participation.
Today, Sesa Goa reports 26 per cent women employees, significantly higher than the industry benchmark of eight per cent, underscoring its commitment to fostering inclusive growth.
The campaign has also partnered with para-athlete and World Para Athlete Grand Prix silver medalist Sakshi Kale, supporting her sporting pursuits. It has also celebrated the success of the Senior Women’s Team at the Sesa Football Academy, which has made its mark in the Indian Women’s League.
Internationally recognised at prestigious forums such as the SABRE Awards (South Asia) and SABRE Awards (Asia Pacific), the campaign reflects Vedanta’s commitment to promoting equal opportunities and harnessing diverse talent.
Speaking on the launch, CEO of Vedanta Sesa Goa, Navin Jaju said that the organisation remains committed to empowering women as drivers of national progress. He added that through initiatives such as Nand Ghars, onboarding women in mining, technical training at the Sesa Technical School, building a girls’ football ecosystem at the Sesa Football Academy, Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarships, vocational training under Project Jeevika, and dedicated tailoring and computer centres, the company has created pathways of empowerment for thousands of women across states.
The launch of #IronLadiesIndia’26 reaffirms Vedanta Sesa Goa’s commitment to creating enabling conditions for women to thrive across diverse fields, driving meaningful empowerment and lasting transformation.
