Embassy of India in Doha Issues Advisory for Indian Nationals Amid Qatar Situation


The Embassy of India, Doha has issued an urgent advisory for Indian nationals residing in Qatar in view of the prevailing situation and a Public Notice released by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior.

Indian citizens have been strongly advised to strictly follow safety guidance issued by competent Qatari authorities.

The Embassy has urged Indian nationals to:

  • Remain indoors and avoid unnecessary movement
  • Step out only in cases of absolute necessity
  • Stay away from windows, balconies, and exposed areas
  • Rely only on official sources for verified updates

The advisory emphasises caution and adherence to local authority instructions to ensure personal safety.

In response to the evolving situation, the Embassy has added an additional 24×7 helpline.

The Embassy has assured that it remains available round-the-clock to assist Indian citizens.

Flight operations from Hamad International Airport remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatari airspace.

Qatar Airways and other airlines have also suspended operations. Qatar Airways announced on March 4 that its next operational update will be issued at 0900 hrs (Doha Time) on March 6, 2026.

Passengers are advised to remain in close contact with their respective airlines for travel rescheduling and updates.

The Embassy of India in Doha stated that it remains in close coordination with Qatari authorities and community leaders to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian nationals in the country.
