Goa Wins Digital Excellence Award at 39th Technology Sabha in Hyderabad

Goa, March 4, 2026: The Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, received the Digital Excellence Award at the 39th edition of Technology Sabha held in Hyderabad.


The award recognises the department’s outstanding efforts in advancing technology initiatives and strengthening digital governance in the state.

Organised by The Indian Express Group, Technology Sabha is a premier e-governance forum that drives discussions on digital transformation through leadership dialogues, case studies, best practices, networking opportunities and technology showcases. The programme was inaugurated by Telangana’s Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C), Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu.

The award was announced during the event held from February 27 to March 1, 2026. It was accepted on behalf of Goa by Kabir Shirgaonkar, Director, DITE&C, and Sharda Katare, Head of the State e-Governance Mission Team (SeMT), Goa. Rahul Gupta, Superintendent of Police, Crime & Cyber Crime, Goa, also represented the state at the event.

The Goa delegation actively contributed to panel discussions during the programme. On day two, Shri Kabir Shirgaonkar was a panellist for the session titled ‘The Federation of Innovation: Driving Digital Governance Through Policy, Platforms and State Leadership.’ Rahul Gupta participated in the session ‘Reimagining Governance & Administration Through Technology: Digital Transformation, AI and Future-Ready IT Infrastructure.’ Smt. Sharda Katare also took part in a power discussion focused on critical infrastructure and security.

This recognition underscores Goa’s growing leadership in digital innovation and governance. With a clear roadmap, future-ready policies and a strong focus on emerging technologies, DITE&C remains committed to accelerating inclusive digital transformation and positioning Goa as a model state for technology-driven governance in India.
