Airbnb has announced the latest recipients of its Airbnb Community Fund donations, including eight nonprofit organizations across India that are driving meaningful change within their communities.
Launched in 2020, the Airbnb Community Fund is a $100 million USD global initiative aimed at supporting local communities. This year, Airbnb donated nearly $10 million USD to nonprofits worldwide, strengthening efforts in economic empowerment, sustainable and rural tourism, environmental sustainability, and ending abuse and exploitation.
Airbnb hosts play an active role in identifying focus areas and nonprofit recipients each year. Members of the Host Advisory Board globally selected key themes for 2026 and reviewed regional nominations to ensure community perspectives were central to the process.
Amanpreet Bajaj, Country Head, Airbnb India and Southeast Asia, said community remains central to Airbnb’s mission. He noted that the fund supports organizations across India that are building sustainable opportunities and resilience at the grassroots level, addressing critical challenges related to livelihoods, education, sustainability and protection of vulnerable groups.
