Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Community Farming & Farmer Excellence initiative at Surla in Sankhali, marking a significant step towards strengthening collective agricultural practices in the State.
The flagship programme, implemented by the Directorate of Agriculture, seeks to encourage community-based farming models and optimise land use to enhance productivity and sustainability.
During the event, the Chief Minister felicitated progressive farmers in recognition of their innovation, dedication, and valuable contribution to modern agricultural practices in Goa.
ZP Member Sunder Naik, Sarpanch Suchita Gavkar, Director of Agriculture Sandeep Fol Dessai, Pandurang Kuttikar, along with progressive farmers and local representatives, were present at the programme.
The initiative is expected to promote collaboration among farmers while boosting agricultural output and rural development across the State.
