A school is more than just a building — it is a sacred space where the future of our society is nurtured. Poriem MLA Dr. Deviya Rane reinforced this belief during her surprise inspection of Government Primary School, Ghoteli No. 1 in Keri Panchayat. The inspection, unannounced, revealed that the infrastructure work at the school was not carried out to the expected standards.
Taking immediate action, Dr. Rane issued strict instructions to the contractor and the engineering team to rectify the deficiencies and ensure that the project is completed with the quality and speed that the children of the constituency deserve.
Dr. Rane expressed her deep concern that such projects must uphold the dignity, safety, and well-being of the children they serve. “A school is a temple of learning. Every child who walks into its gates deserves the assurance of quality, safety, and respect,” she stated.
She further reaffirmed her commitment to active oversight and transparency in public works, stating that she will personally inspect not only schools but also anganwadis and other public buildings across the constituency. Dr. Rane emphasized that projects where foundation stones have been laid will not be left unchecked — they will be followed through until their full and proper completion.
This proactive stance by Dr. Rane reflects her dedication to ensuring that government initiatives translate into real benefits on the ground, with accountability and integrity at the core of public service.
