On September 25, 2025, PM SHRI Government High School Morpirla, located in Quepem, Goa, took part in the national cleanliness movement “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath” under the broader Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) campaign. The initiative emphasized the importance of cleanliness and sanitation through collective action, aiming to foster awareness and social responsibility in every community.
The school organized a focused one-hour cleanliness drive between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM within the school premises. Students, parents, and teachers enthusiastically participated, exemplifying the spirit of Shramdaan—voluntary labor given for the public good. From cleaning school grounds to raising awareness on sanitation practices, every participant contributed to a unified mission: promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
The event not only improved the school’s physical surroundings but also instilled a deeper sense of duty among students and community members. Discussions around the significance of hygiene, disease prevention, and eco-conscious living were initiated, helping shift mindsets toward long-term behavioral change.
The success of the event highlighted how powerful grassroots participation can be. By dedicating just one hour, the school community proved that small, united efforts can lead to impactful results. The campaign continues to inspire educational institutions across the country to adopt a hands-on approach to national cleanliness and sustainable living.
