Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks have officially confirmed their engagement. On September 12, 2025, Brooks, 29, shared a heartfelt announcement on Instagram featuring a series of photos: one in black and white embracing Hemsworth, another of a scenic ocean view, and a close‑up of her diamond engagement ring resting against a white sheet. She captioned the post with a simple white heart.
The engagement comes after speculation earlier in August when Brooks was photographed in Ibiza, Spain, wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand while strolling along a yacht dock. Fans noticed her flashing the ring and widely speculated an announcement might be imminent.
Hemsworth, 35, and Brooks have been romantically linked since December 2019, when they were first spotted together in Byron Bay, Australia. They officially went public in June 2021 at a charity event in Sydney. Although they’ve kept much of their relationship private, occasional glimpses into their personal lives have appeared via red carpet appearances and social media posts.
This will be Hemsworth’s second marriage. He was previously married to Miley Cyrus, with the marriage beginning in December 2018 and divorce finalized in February 2020.
According to sources familiar with the family, Hemsworth’s parents Craig and Leonie Hemsworth and his brothers were immediately supportive of Brooks, describing her as “sweet and genuine.” They had apparently been encouraging Hemsworth to propose for some time.
