Bengaluru: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has issued a public notice regarding scheduled power cuts on 13 and 14 September 2025 as part of its quarterly maintenance work.
The interruptions will take place from 10 am to 5 pm in multiple localities across Bengaluru and Tumakuru district.
In Bengaluru, the affected areas include K.G. Temple, Hirehalli, Honnudike, Hennur, and Thimmasandra. Residents in these areas are advised to avoid using high-power appliances during the maintenance window.
In Tumakuru district, several towns and villages will also face power cuts. These include Nittur, Gubbi, Bidre, Doddaguni, Kadaba, Kallur, Ungra, Somalapur, Bellavi, Heggere, Doddasarangi, Kor, Beladhara, Urdigara, and regions under the C.T. Kere Substation. Areas near the South-Western Railway Line will also be affected.
BESCOM has requested residents and businesses to make necessary arrangements, particularly for essential services such as healthcare facilities, water supply systems, and commercial establishments.
The company has emphasized that these planned outages are essential for the upkeep of power infrastructure, ensuring a reliable electricity supply in the long run.
Residents are encouraged to charge their devices, arrange for power backups, and plan activities accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
